Animals: Movie Review
As a director, Ben Affleck is still criminally underrated. The man has given us some real gems, such as Gone Baby Gone , The Town , and Argo , the latter of which earned him two Oscars. Needless to say, any film directed by him is a no-brainer for me, as I know I'm in for something entertaining and full of twists. So, when his latest film, Animals , landed on Netflix, I knew I had to give it a watch. Compared to the rest of his filmography, Animals is probably Ben Affleck's weakest effort to date, but it's still an enjoyable watch for a weekend evening.

If you haven't seen The Social Network , it's genuinely hard to put into words just how incredible a movie it is. It's one of the defining films of the 2010s, and even now, more than a decade after its release, it hasn't lost any of what made it so great in the first place. If anything, it's a film that seems to get better with time. It tells the story of how Mark Zuckerberg became the youngest billionaire in history through the creation of Facebook, as well as the business partners who eventually took him to court over it.

Book Six, Gryffindor common room. Harry sees Ginny kissing Dean. Harry had never noticed her before. Rowling writes through Harry's eyes: Ginny's lips against Dean's, something in Harry's chest bursting. The action works. It also shows the problem. Harry falls for Ginny when he finally starts looking at her. The reader has been looking since Book Two and still does not know when she became this person.

'Tis the season to be spooked...but not whilst watching Other Mommy . We’ve all seen the trailer for this movie, which took the internet by storm when it first dropped. It was packed with jump scares, creepy imagery, and the promise of a genuinely terrifying and unsettling cinema experience. With the film hitting theatres just a few weeks before Halloween, it felt like the perfect opportunity to get a few friends together and spend a Sunday afternoon watching what looked to be a seriously scary movie.

And as the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Resident Evil doesn't stray far from Cregger's signature style, and that's a good thing, as the comedy works hand in hand with the horror to create an experience that's just as funny as it is terrifying.

Extra Geography (2026)
Extra Geography is not something I would have ever indulged. My experiences of geography as a school subject, for someone with no sense of direction and more interested in people than land, were not good. I did not like the Head of Geography. Although his wife, also a geography teacher, was surprisingly lovely to me when I played Anne of Green Gables in the school musical. Some red-headed solidarity – she gave me her first edition copy of the book, which still adorns my shelves.
