Best of Psych
Psych remains one of the best crime serials as well as one of the best television shows ever written. It stays consistent in tone, writing style and quality from episode 1 to the series finale. The show also remains underrated and underappreciated so I’ve decided to make a list of what I feel are the best episodes of the long running TV series.

Zone of Interest
To say I was shocked at this movie is an understatement. When I saw that a movie that is based on the Holocaust was rated PG, I laughed. I figured that it was not going to be anything special because how can you cover the travesty and horror of the Holocaust without showing anything? Well, the movie did just that, but instead of showing the gruesome nature of those years, it used an underappreciated method, Sound. You never saw anything that happened, but you heard it…all of it.

Butterfly McQueen (8 January 1911 – 22 December 1995). Top Story - January 2024.
During the filming of Affectionately Yours (1941), Merle Oberon told friends that the film was a “dud”. And she wasn’t wrong. It is a mis-step of a comedy, based on the idea that two intelligent and exceptionally beautiful women would care about and compete over a philandering liar. Big names and talents wasted on a silly, pointless script. It is not just my 21st century sensibilities that baulk at the chaotic, broad comedy. It did poorly at the time, finishing 166th at the box office for 1941, despite the three-way draw of Rita Hayworth, Merle Oberon and Dennis Morgan. It also had the talents of Academy award winner Hattie McDaniel in yet another maid role. And the unique voice and spirit of Butterfly McQueen is used merely to punctuate the comedy with shrieks and laughs. (Notice neither of them make it onto the poster…)

Blandest Movies of 2023
The reality is that a lot of movies are just mediocre, kind of meh. They weren’t terrible but they were also nothing special. These were just movies that came out this year. They didn’t inspire me nor did they make me violently ill. So this is that list. This is the list of the most mediocre movies of 2023. These will be going from most to least interesting in a very relative manner.

Worst Movies of 2023
With as many amazing movies as we got last year there were bound to be a few bombs. Some bombed harder than others but altogether these are the worst movies of the year. Alright here we go with the list of the absolute worst movies of 2023. These are unforgivably bad with absolutely no redeeming qualities. This list also kind of has a wide range of scores so we will be going from the least offensive to the most upsettingly bad.

Story Time as Captain Marvel
Hello everyone, sorry I haven’t published recent stories since August but it has been an overwhelming five months since I wrote and published my last article. Lately, I have been busy thanks to returning to school to conduct online courses to get a master’s degree and a teacher certification from the University of New Hampshire. I can tell you that while taking three online courses in one fall semester has been rewarding, it was exhausting to where I didn’t have enough time or energy to write new articles. Now that I’ve focused on studying for the Praxis exam hoping to start clinical work, I used the free time I had to write a brand-new story. Normally, it would be on animal stories, but I did something different and wrote about some of the cosplay experiences instead.
