The Media's Encroachment on Fan Culture
I’ve been engaged in fandom spaces for about a decade. Now, most of that comes from being raised without Internet restrictions which made getting involved in fan culture much easier. Even in early middle school I was consumed by cosplay music videos and character quizzes on Quotev. Above all else, the part about fandom culture that really caught my attention was fanfiction.

Gargoyles: Demona is her own worst enemy
Back in the day, there was a show on the so-called Disney Channel called “Gargoyles.” Does anyone remember that show? I loved it. I love the design of the Gargoyles, and I loved what they stood for: they were protectors, guardians, and, for once, the good guys. Except for one bad bitch: I speak of course of Demona.

The Patriot Games: A Totally Original, Definitely Not Dystopian, Celebration of American Athletics
Is This the Reaping? We have finally reached a period in the timeline of our universe when idiocracy is at an all-time high. Hollywood Is No Longer Human: How AI Is Rewriting the Rules of the Movies You Love
Do you remember the last time you watched a movie and thought, "that looked incredibly real"? There's a good chance what you were seeing didn't even exist. It wasn't a physical set. It wasn't a flesh-and-blood actor. It was artificial intelligence working its magic behind the scenes, and you probably didn't even notice.
