Gargoyles: Demona is her own worst enemy
She is the reason for the loss of her kin.

Back in the day, there was a show on the so-called Disney Channel called “Gargoyles.” Does anyone remember that show? I loved it. I love the design of the Gargoyles, and I loved what they stood for: they were protectors, guardians, and, for once, the good guys. Except for one bad bitch: I speak of course of Demona.

This Female Gargoyle has to be the evilest, heartless antagonist who doesn’t take responsibility for her actions. Throughout the whole show, Demona is the sole reason her clan (AKA Family) almost got wiped out. The only thing that Demona makes clear to her is “I will have vengeance for the betrayal of my clan, vengeance for my pain.” That’s understandable. However, after watching the episode, it is clear that Demona is the one who started the cycle of her pain, betrayal, and everything else that has happened to her. Demona thinks humans are to blame, but really, she is the one who pokes and starts everything.
In season 2, episodes 9-12, called City of Stone. There is a clip where the three weird sisters (who resemble the three fates) ask Demona 4 questions while she is in a trance.

The first one was “Who betrayed Demona’s clan and who caused this pain?”

Answer: Clan Betrayal: In 994 A.D., the cause of the betrayal falls on two individuals, the Captain of the Guard at Castle Wyvern and an unnamed female gargoyle (who later took the name Demona).

These two conspired to betray Castle Wyvern to Hakon and his Viking marauders. The plan was simple: Demona was to lure the gargoyles away because the Captain of the Guard intended to free them from human prejudice, but when that failed, the Vikings were free to attack during the day. The time Gargoyles are defenseless. Because they turn to stone. So tragically, the Vikings massacred the sleeping clan.

Demona's Pain & Responsibility: Demona's suffering is largely self-inflicted; she is the sole reason for the massacre of her own people, which left her eternally isolated. Throughout her thousand-year life curse (a Spell bond she did with the weird sisters), she repeatedly sabotaged her own alliances and clans (including betraying Macbeth), constantly fueling her own torment and grief over the centuries, which has caused her inability to let go of her hatred for humanity, this bitch needs therapy.
The second one was. “Who betrayed the castle to the Vikings?”
Answer: The Captain of the Gaurds at Castle Wyvern and Demona.

The third one was “Who created the hunter?”

Answer: The first "Hunter" was created by a young boy by the name Gillecomgain in 10th-century Scotland.

He was going to the barn to feed the animals, and there he heard a scary sound, which turned out to be Demona. She was stealing food from the animals. Demona hid when she heard Gillecomgain coming, but then she was attacked by scaring his face. This is the origin that starts 1,000 years of hunting. Prince Duncan became the next hunter after Gillecomgain's death.

And finally, “Whom betrayed Macbeth to Canmore?

Answer: Demona, because she thought Macbeth was going to cast out her clan from the kingdom to appease the invading English, so she joined forces with Canmore. The truth was, if Demona had stayed a bit longer, she would have heard that Macbeth wasn’t going to cast her clan out because he was loyal to her. And Canmore not only betrayed Demona, but he also massacred the last remaining gargoyles that were with Demona.
So, who is at fault? Who created all this Sorrow? Demona, simple as that; it is about time she takes responsibility for her actions. If she had told her clan and Goliath about the Vikings approaching to attack the Castle at Wyvern at daybreak, her clan would have survived. Demona believes that everything that happen to her none of it was her fault, that it was the humans, always the humans.

If she had just run away from the barn after getting the food instead of attacking Gillecomgain, the hunter would never have been created.

And I don’t need to go in-depth on what happened during the betrayal of Macbeth and Canmore. Just watch the Season 2 Episode 9-12 called “The City of Stone.” It has four parts.
