For the past two years, I've been writing reviews on Vocal. I'll admit, when I started out, it took me a while to find my groove and establish my own style for review writing; the difference between my reviews starting out and the ones I write currently is certainly a stark one. I started out mostly focusing on the Lifetime movies, but have since branched out into other films in the Made-For-TV realm and beyond. As a result of putting my reviews out there, I've made contact with people requesting reviews, and that has allowed me to branch out into the indie film market and find myself exploring an avenue of film I love to write about; there's a certain charm to providing something of a voice for films that oftentimes don't receive as much attention as the films you see make it to the silver screen.
Whenever I am having a bad day, I just watch some of Jenna Marbles's youtube videos. It actually really helps with my depression. Whenever Jenna puts up a new video, it turns a mediocre day into an awesome day!!! So, whoever you are, and whatever your story is... chances are, that you need more Jenna Marbles in your life!
I was scrolling away on my news feed when I saw this lovely request: "I'm Sad. Send nudes." It was from one of my favourite groups ADHD shit posting... which upset me a little at first... but then I read the comments. It turns out that when a guy asks people on a Facebook on send him nudes ... the people of the internet deliver something, all right. If I had to put it in words, I would say they delivered comedy instead of first request.
Jenna Marbles is amazing. She seems like someone I would genuinely enjoy hanging out with. The very amazing and successful career of Jenna Marbles appeared to have started after her video "How To Trick People Into Thinking You're Good Looking" went viral, and was viewed over 5.3 million times in its first week. It still remains her most popular Youtube video to this day. However, since then, she has made all kinds of great and amazing content. In fact, if you follow her Youtube channel, she is pretty good at getting at least one video out a week.
With the booming success of Marvel's twenty second installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it's no surprise that the company decided to put the movie back out into theaters. With $2.75 Billion USD Endgame is currently sitting behind the highest grossing film of all time, Avatar, which has a gross revenue of $2.79.Billion USD. This competition is the stuff of legends and some pretty amazing memes, as Endgame quickly rose to sink other memorable movies such as Titanic. Many Marvel fans are hoping that this last push will get Endgame over the finish line.
I never thought I would dedicate a YouTube channel to my favorite superhero. But... it happened.
"Welcome back Ladies and Gentlemen! My name is JeezBee and this is..."
While on the road with family, I was listening to a podcast that I hadn't listened to in a long while. On one hand, it felt nice listening to something I hadn't in a few years. On the other hand, it's interesting hearing different examples of verbal freedom and humor in this time and age of online media.
With the current free usage of the Internet, it has become easier to bring communities together and for those communities to show enthusiasm for certain things they have in common. For this article, the example worth bringing up is the example of fanatics of various celebrities/shows showing their enthusiasm by tweeting about them, posting theories and observations about particular shows, writing down "What if" scenarios in the form of fanfiction or, what is worth discussing and protecting as of now, creating drawings and video edits dedicated to those celebrities and shows and posting them on Instagram.
Instagram is one of the largest social media platforms today, with an active user base of approximately 800 million. Fanpages comprise a large portion of those users. As a person who has owned multiple fan accounts on Instagram before, I have been through the process of creating a new account and making it grow over and over and over. Every step of setting up a new fan account is imprinted in my head at this point, so why not put that knowledge to good use and help you ease into the online fandom community?
The first time we meet Laura Hollis is not in her videos, but on Twitter. As I said before, I didn’t start watching Carmilla until after the Christmas Special aired, so I initially missed all of this, and didn’t actually go back to read much for some reason. These early tweets and posts on tumblr give a fascinating insight into Laura and Carmilla’s characters, as well as Silas as an environment. These things aren’t necessarily new information, but it is interesting to read their perspectives on their surroundings in their own words.
If you've been online in the last week or so you may or may not have seen/heard something about the Guild Wars 2 developers who were fired following a rather unprofessional outburst on social media. Yes, I know this sounds like the start of a hit piece, and it's funny you should say that because that's kind of what I'd like to look at.
