Rajaroy Joseph AlphonsePublished 4 years ago in GeeksAn Unnameable Emotion
Somewhere between the confusion and the foreign ache in my chest, there were tears. They fell from my eyes, bulbous drops that stained the last yellowed page of the book in my hands. I sat cross-legged in the middle of my childhood bed, hinged at the waist and working to keep my cries muffled. The ache I felt bloomed within my ribcage, expanding further and further with each ragged gasp I took until it suffused me; there was warmth in its unfamiliarity, even as I still reeled with shock. I remember reading the final chapter of Beloved several times, desperate for understanding, desperate for anything my eight-year-old mind could grasp with surety. But all I found were tears. My younger sister came looking and when she discovered me there on the bed, sobbing into the book I’d been carrying around for weeks, she demanded to know what was wrong. When I couldn’t answer her, she ran for our mom, who would ask the same question. I lifted my head to them, my eyelids weighted with tears and a soft smile on my face, and whispered, “It’s just so beautiful.”

Who's the baddest of them all? Villains. We love our villains. In the grand scheme of things, good villains are always more memorable than the hero of the story. There's just something about a person so hell bent on bringing down somebody else through any means necessary that is fascinating to watch. And our Nollywood villains have been giving us drama and evil to feast our eyes on for a long time now.

Rumors swirled immediately after her birth that the king of pop was not her biological father because she looked completely white, rather than biracial. Ironically the fledgling actress says she identifies as black. For a while many believed her biological dad was a sperm donor and that her mom Debbie Rowe was a surrogate who never was intimate with Michael Jackson. After the death of her famous father, Paris was in all the headlines and then she seemed to drop off the radar. The 22 year old has spoken openly and candidly about dealing with depression and also addiction, admitting to using drugs intravenously since age 15 and going to rehab.

Marielle SabbagPublished 4 years ago in GeeksBritish TV Comedies to binge for lockdown
As an English lad living in Thailand, it is hard to find television to scratch the itch of a quirky British show. Thank the lord for Netflix. Throughout British television history, there have been some excellent gems that truly deserve to get international attention. And yet, it doesn't happen....unless America pick up the option and make a sub-par remake. This list attempts to shine some light on some shows that truly need to be watched. Let's jump right in.
Actors ARE NOT their characters!
I love Star Wars. But in some ways I'm afraid to say that because of the reputation the fandom has of being overly toxic and critical. They bullied Kelly Marie Tran off of social media when they didn't like her character in The Last Jedi. They bullied Rian Johnson for creating The Last Jedi. They bullied Hayden Christensen out of acting because his portrayal of a teen/young adult male was too awkward (Imagine that!) They even bullied a literal child into a life of anxiety and depression because they didn't like that he portrayed future Darth Vader as, get this, a CHILD. I gotta say, it seems nobody hates of Star Wars more than Star Wars fans.
