Paris Jackson will play Jesus

Michael Jackson's daughter Paris has led a troubled life since the day she was born. Rumors swirled immediately after her birth that the king of pop was not her biological father because she looked completely white, rather than biracial. Ironically the fledgling actress says she identifies as black. For a while many believed her biological dad was a sperm donor and that her mom Debbie Rowe was a surrogate who never was intimate with Michael Jackson. After the death of her famous father, Paris was in all the headlines and then she seemed to drop off the radar. The 22 year old has spoken openly and candidly about dealing with depression and also addiction, admitting to using drugs intravenously since age 15 and going to rehab.

The granddaughter of Joe and Katherine Jackson is making headlines once more but for a vastly different reason than her vices or her well known family. Paris will soon be seen in a movie that many will consider as going too far and it may even shock some people. According to Yahoo and Page Six Miss Jackson has taken on a role that is sure to cause a lot of controversy. The king of pop's daughter is starring as Jesus Christ, in a film titled Habit. No premiere date has been given but the movie producer Donovan Leitch stated to Fox News that Habit is currently in post production phase. The film was written by Suki Kaiser, snd directed by Janell Shirtcliff.

Jackson's co-star will be Bella Thorne, who portrays a woman who pretends to be a nun in order to "escape a violent drug deal". The character is described as having a "Jesus fetish" and Donovan Leitch says that Paris Jackson's as Jesus visits her a few times. He added that the movie is based on a story that was created by Shirtcliff and Libby Mintz, who also has a role in the film. Leitch admitted to Fox News that Jackson's role as the Christian God was kept under wraps and added that this project is in the vein of the early days of Quinton Tarantino(Pulp Fiction). Habit also stars Josie Ho, Andreja Pejic, Alison Mosshart, and Bria Vinaite.

Habit wrapped up filming about one week prior to the movie industry’s coronavirus shutdowns. The film is being produced by Silver Heart Productions and a release date has yet to be announced. This is not Paris Jackson's first acting job as she previously was in an episode of Scream and also the series titled Star. She was a performer on a song from 2019's The Peanut Butter Falcon and had a role in a music video for Jared Leto's band, 30 Seconds to Mars. In 2018, Miss Jackson appeared with Charlize Theron and David Oyelowo in the movie Gringo. The actress has not been interviewed as to why she chose to portray such a controversial role that is sure to cause a stir and bring offence.
