Memories. They will never go away. Your heart will go on.

Titanic is a 1997 film about the sinking of the famous ship on her maiden voyage. First-class passenger, Rose DeWitt Bukator falls in love with Jack Dawson, a poor boy from steerage. Wanting to run away from her stand-still life, everything changes on the night when Titanic hits an iceberg.

108 years ago, the Titanic slipped under the ocean claiming the lives of 1500 people. Ever since I was a little girl, I have been an extreme enthusiast about anything Titanic related, studying every single fact I could find. Titanic (1997) is a masterpiece, recounting historical details in this dramatic presentation that actually cost more than building the ship itself!

Kate Winslet was superb as Rose. Living in a time where women didn’t have much of a voice, Rose fights to no end. Her story is inspiring, transforming from a young trapped woman into a free-spirited courageous fighter. However, I did not agree with some of Rose’s decisions which could have been avoided to have made a better outcome.

Jack Dawson’s positivity is a trait I admire. Leonardo DiCaprio nailed his performance. Jack has never had anything, but that’s okay with him. One of the greatest messages to ever be brought out is to make each day count. To this day, I am still surprised that DiCaprio was never nominated for his commendable performance.

Winslet and DiCaprio’s romantic chemistry is the core of the film. In just little days’ time, they open up one another’s minds. The drawing scene is a romantic scene. They worked so well together grasping this newfound relationship and even improvising. You guessed it, that spitting scene was not a part of the script!

The talents in Titanic are mesmerizing. Billy Zane, Kathy Bates, Frances Fisher, Bernard Hill, David Warner, Victor Garber, and Jonathan Hyde are remarkable. There are a number of actors to note in this film who boldly committed to taking risks making incredible acting talents score off the big screen.

Up until now, I never fully appreciated the scenes that take place in the present. The late Gloria Stuart forever lives on in her performance as old Rose. As I have obtained over time, Titanic’s history has changed the world, reflecting how we should be happy for what we have, and live each day to the fullest.

An incredible ensemble of thousands of extras sold stories of the countless passengers who embarked on a journey. No part is ever small. Matching true stories of those who were on the ship, the film pays major final respect to every passenger.

Making this film was not an easy experience according to stories from behind the scenes. Visually, Titanic is a stunning movie that goes above and beyond. A model of the ship was built to obtain scenes that took place in 1912. The wardrobe is also stunning. It’s subtle but carefully watch Rose’s wardrobe. It symbolizes her change.

Director James Cameron went on twelve dives to the wreck of the Titanic that lies on the ocean floor. He found it a very emotional experience. Cameron’s great attention to character single-handedly created a monumental success of a story in history that can never be forgotten.

One reason that the Titanic has made me a big fanatic are the stories that have come out of it. Everybody has a story from this night. If it weren’t for the survivors, the Titanic wouldn’t be famous. No matter how many times you watch this film, it’s always overwhelming watching the final climax as the ship disappears into the ocean. It is incredibly authentic.

If you catch a showing of Titanic (1997) or any film related to this grand ship remember to recall all the lives that were lost, honor the officers and the engineers who worked until the very end, and be thankful for all the heroes. Titanic still lies at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean floor. It will forever be a mark history that no ship is unsinkable. The story still continues on.

Rest in Peace, Titanic.
