Exclusive Interview With Edward Dodds: From ‘Stargate’ To ‘Star Wars’
Edward Dodds is the editor and contributor to Star Wars: Supernatural Encounters by Joe Bongiorno and contributor to Unauthorized Offworld Activation: Exploring the Stargate Franchise, edited by Rich Handley and Joseph Dilworth Jr. While Edward Dodds might not be a household name for most Stargate or Star Wars fans, his contributions to the more obscure parts of both franchises is noteworthy. I recently interviewed Dodds about his love of science fiction, more specifically two franchises that are similar in many respects, but quite different in others: Stargate and Star Wars. His immense knowledge of these two franchises is impressive, and it had been a joy to pick his brain.

A clone who shares his face with a million brothers, Captain Rex is perhaps one of the most memorable characters throughout Star Wars. Considering he has only made his appearance in animation, one would be hard-pressed to find a character as admired as the captain of the 501st. But what is it about Captain Rex that makes him so endearing? His viewpoint is incredibly unique. He is not a civilian, but he is no Jedi either. His knowledge of the inner workings of the Republic goes far beyond what some senators know, yet he is not blessed with the power of the Force.

Over the years, LEGO Star Wars sets and mini-figures have shot up with insane prices as the sets have become more and more desirable. LEGO sets are similar to any other collectible where maintaining the condition of the box and keeping it actually in the box holds the value itself. At this point in time, there are mini-figures that are even more expensive and rarer than actual LEGO sets, such as the 2005 Toy Fair Luminara Unuli, which is currently valued at around $5,000. This article will specifically focus on the rarest and most expensive LEGO Star Wars sets at the current point in time.

[There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. Which raises the question why the hell would there be? After all the U.S.S. Valley NCC-99130 is a back water underrated starship that isn’t even commissioned to be able to fight our own battles as a rule. Heck the only weapons we have are defensive in nature and of course our personal weapons.

Yesterday Deborah Chow, Director of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the highly anticipated Disney+ series dropping later this month, spoke to Uproxx about the series. During the interview, she clarified the appearance of a droid that bears a striking resemblance to 4-LOM, the droid bounty hunter briefly featured in Empire. Sadly for fans of the droid bounty hunter, it appears that it isn't 4-LOM in the trailer, but instead a new droid; 1-JAC. In the trailer we see the droid taking shots at Obi-Wan on a rooftop in a city we have never seen before.

Something about the Star Wars sequel trilogy does not work. Most of the Star Wars fandom - apart from casual newcomers - agree on this basic point. The unity ends there.

In true retrograde fashion, I am very late to the game in writing about Mercury's trek backwards through the signs of Gemini and Taurus. Starting on May 10th and ending on June 3rd, it looks like we're already about half way through. However, I think there's still enough time left to write about how it will affect us overall.

Hypothesis generation and testing puts the method in the scientific method. Without hypotheses we cannot do science or use the scientific method. While one cannot do science without hypothesizing, one can hypothesize without doing science until the cows come home. Witness the contents of this very article for a collection of examples.

Does This New Evidence Show 'Jedi: Fallen Order 2' Release Window?
The story of Cal Kestis finding his way to become a Jedi knight captivated audiences and surprised Star Wars fans with the immersive storytelling and fun gameplay back in 2019. The positive reception of Jedi: Fallen Order made it very clear that there would a continuation of the first game. Recently, we discovered that the title of the sequel will be Jedi: Survivor. The question that remains is when the next game in the series will drop. Both the publisher Electronic Arts and the developer Respawn have kept their mouths shut about any information regarding the new Star Wars game. Perhaps there will be an official announcement at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration. In the meantime, new information from Electronic Arts' title slate might have given us the answer.

There are many actors in Hollywood that will carry trade secrets to their graves, Rosario Dawson is not one of them. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, she recollected posting a rumor she had read in a trade publication about the new Ahsoka series coming to Disney+ next year. The rumor was that Hayden Christensen would reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker. The post on Instagram was a snapshot of a trade publication headline and Dawson's caption simply read, "Skyguy...They Know!!! See you soon, Snips."
