Wax and Wane: The Cancer Rising Chart
Introduction: What is the Rising Sign? The Ascendant or "Rising Sign" is the sign located on the eastern horizon - the part of the sky where the sun rises each morning - at the exact time of your birth. For example, if you were born at sunrise, your Ascendant or Rising Sign would be the same as your Sun sign, whereas if you were born at sunset, your Ascendant would be placed in the opposite sign to your Sun. For a better explanation of the astronomy behind how this works, see here.

The Beauty of Love: Taurus & Libra Synastry Compatibility
Introduction This is my 9th article in a series about astrological compatibility. It is my 2nd about Libra and my 2nd about Taurus. I started this series because relationships are one of my favorite topics: why is it that we gravitate so strongly to some personalities and clash so hard with others? However, before you read, there are a few things I ask you to keep in mind:

War & Peace: Eclipse Season, Autumn 2023
Eclipses are always interesting to look at and from an astrological perspective, they are also believed to be very powerful. They are believed to indicate major changes and fatalistic events, at least for those affected by its power. Traditionally, they were mostly used to predict worldly and political affairs, the fate of entire nations, but they can affect individuals, as well.

On August 1st, hip-hop singer, Lizzo was reported to have been sued by former employees for sexual harassment, body-shaming and abuse of power, among other charges. Less Talk, More Action: How the North Node in Aries Will Affect Your Life
What Exactly ARE the Nodes? The nodes are mathematical points at which the orbit of the Moon intersects with the ecliptic. The North Node is where the Moon moves into the northern ecliptic hemisphere while the South Node is where the Moon moves into the southern ecliptic hemisphere. They are always in opposite signs of the zodiac and always conjunct the Sun and Moon during an eclipse.

Speaking the Unspeakable: What to Expect When Mercury Goes Retrograde in Taurus ~ Spring 2023
What Does "Mercury in Retrograde" Mean? A retrograde planet is one that, from the vantage point of earth, appears to be moving in the opposite direction. From an astrological perspective, this means that the energies represented by the planet are directed "backwards" or "inward." Retrograde periods are often riddled with delays and disruption, but there's no need to panic. It is just a time for reflection rather than for taking action. These periods can actually be loaded with magic & synchronicity, causing things from the past to return to us, whether this be people, situations, memories we thought we had forgotten about or lessons that we're getting a second chance to learn after having failed the first time around.

The Future is Now: Pluto's Journey Through Aquarius
Pluto's Journey from Capricorn to Aquarius Almost immediately after Pluto entered Capricorn in January 2008, it triggered a global financial crisis known as "the great recession." The banks collapsed, and while the economy is said to have healed since then (higher wages, lower unemployment rates, etc.), I look at the financial situations of the people around me and think, "has it really?" The COVID-19 pandemic, which coincided with a Capricorn stellium involving Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter, brought about another worldwide economic crisis; businesses were shut down and thousands of people lost their jobs. That said, throughout all this, the billionaires have been fine. After all, Pluto is the planet of plutocracy, of power and money, and underhanded conspiracy. It is also the planet of death and rebirth, of transformation, and of the passionate intensity buried in the depths of the subconscious mind.

Spirits in the Material World: How Saturn in Pisces Will Affect Your Sign
Saturn in Pisces: an Introduction Since March 20th, 2020, Saturn has been transiting through the sign of Aquarius. Although Aquarius is thought of as a social sign, Saturn's entrance into the fixed air sign coincided with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the first lockdowns. Like Capricorn, Aquarius is ruled by Saturn. Considering that Saturn is at home Aquarius, we can safely say that Saturn performed quite strongly here and that this time gave way to the challenges and limitations that Saturn is known for. While Saturn in Capricorn coincided with the spread of right-wing populism, Saturn in Aquarius simultaneously brought isolation, strengthening the boundaries between ourselves and others, and a sense of connection with the whole world, as this was a virus in which no country was immune. What will Saturn in Pisces, a sign almost diametrically opposed to Saturn, bring us?

Jovial Lovers: Sagittarius & Pisces Synastry Compatibility
Introduction This is my eighth article in a series about synastry compatibility and my first about both Sagittarius and Pisces. I chose to write this series because relationships in general are one of my favorite topics: why is it that we gravitate so strongly to some personalities and clash so harshly with others? Astrological compatibility is a tricky thing to measure, however, and because of that, there are a few things I'd like you to keep in mind before reading the article:
