Why I Am Not Called Grace
I think my mom had genuine insight. When she was pregnant with me, she and my dad tossed quite a few names around, trying to decide which ones they like the best. Back in 1947, ultrasound had not yet been invented to determine the sex of the child. Names were guess-work. You decided on two: one boy and one girl. Then you would use the one for that baby once it was born.

People come and go. I get that. Really, I do. The people that come into your life don't necessarily have to give you the reasons as to why they'd want to leave... but I can't help but wonder. I'm sure most people can't help to wonder why a person would want to leave them.
MelPublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsI Felt Something Cold and Squishy Stuck to My Butt Cheek in Bed
I spend a lot of time in bed during the course of a normal day. For starters, I’m in it for 7–8 hours each evening while sleeping. Then, I sit on it for much of the day doing my writing with my laptop and my comfy little lap table. My daughter just got me that for Father’s Day and it’s a game changer. It has a little beanbag padding on the underside of it. Stellar Father’s Day gift for a writer.
Jason ProvencioPublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsI Wish I Wanted to Work a 9–5 Traditional Job
I used to think that entrepreneurship was more manageable than working a 9–5, or in my case, a 7 am -7 pm job. Right, you see it all over Instagram, Youtube, and blogs.

Customer service is a strange thing. you go somewhere, see someone working there, they seem happy or at least, like a normal person, and they greet you. They assist you with problems, they try to make you comfortable and then when you leave, hopefully you think back fondly on the fact you had a pleasant experience and this employee helped make that happen. then at a later point in time you get your first job in customer service, and the truth is revealed to you.
Patrick SweetPublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsNot a day goes by
Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. Not a day goes by that I wish you would have listened to me and taken that bus instead. Not a day goes by that I wish I was with you at the time of the crash. Not a day goes by that I don't mourn you. I miss your scent that perforated my nose. I miss your kisses upon my forehead. I miss the silly faces you would make when I was down. I miss you, and i still love you, and I always will. Life can be cruel, but death can be worse. Not a day goes by that I can't help but think what could have been.

He loves music. That was the first thing I ever learned about him. Music is everything to him, and it’s kind of sad, because that means I could never be everything to him. Nonetheless, I am happy for him. I love what he loves. I find joy in his joy.

The Un-Experiment - Post #2 Underneath It All I love to laugh. There is something so freeing about releasing pent-up emotions by full-on belly laughing. I’m talking doubled over with tears streaming down my face. Or just a burst of laughter or even a simple chuckle over something I’ve watched or read.

emerson My life used to be amazing. It used to be everything I spent my whole childhood working towards. I was on a full ride, leading the lineup and starting at second base for Arizona State University as a freshman. I had an incredible boyfriend and an amazing family.

We went out on Friday to the nearby language trade. It is with the neighborhood Spanish school here in the area. To say that I was not in that frame of mind to be social would be putting it mildly.
