I accidentally revealed to a work colleague that I write erotic fiction on Vocal
That's not embarrassing, this is embarrassing... I’m usually pretty good at keeping my work persona and my non-work persona separate. You know I dress in a business shirt and tie on weekdays, I’m a shorts and t-shirts guy on weekends. In the office, I manage a team of professionals and will talk with my staff if they are behaving in a manner that’s not ok, after hours I drink and swear a lot. I think there aren’t too many of us that don’t show our full selves at work, I mean unless you’re an exotic dancer or sex worker, in which case that is an accurate description of what you do for work.
D-DonohoePublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsNo more dating apps
I think I’ve reached one of my bottoms. For me. This is so far off from where I’ve always envisioned myself to be and yet all these experiences continue to humble the f out of me.
Ana SilvaPublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsReasons to Leave the Christmas Tree up
Mid-January is a most difficult time of year for me. Not only is it disgustingly hot in Australia, but it's also the time of year in which I must grapple with an incredibly difficult decision... how long is it acceptable to leave the Christmas tree up?
Rachel M.JPublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsHow To Communicate Better in a Non-Fairytale Sort of Relationship
How, how, how… Do you have the courage to communicate what you really want and need in your relationships? If so, how? How do you communicate your needs?
Julia WinsaPublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsWhat I Said To My White Dad… (Racism in 2022)
I’m sending this out to the world because when I spoke with my brother-in-law and sister over the holidays, they said they think more people need to hear the words I said to my father a few months back.

I hate that I’m waiting for him for him to message me. I hate that I allowed him into my heart; just a smidge, the tiniest bit that couldn’t be avoided. But it’s kind of like opening your front door a tiny bit while in a hurricane; not a good idea and very possibly a disastrous one.
EllePublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsI am a Gold Medal Contender in Sleeping Around.
I wish the Olympics were a little more open minded. People have physical talents that go beyond the Sporting "S-Club" of Speed, Strength or Stamina. Let's have some medals for Sass or Style or Savoir Fair....
Caroline JanePublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsThe Trouble in Trendifying Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Gen Z has made skinny jeans lame and almost single-handedly brought back wired headphones. Supermodels like Bella Hadid have made 90s fashion trendy again. Round wireframe glasses and hanging out at local coffee shops are a thing again, and as any trendy girl knows, succulents are all the rage right now.

Before Maybe if the kids hadn’t woken me from a deep sleep at 2 am, things would’ve turned out differently. The darkness of this time of night cloaks me, gives me a clarity not available in the daylight. Maybe if I’d slept through them, my dreams wouldn’t have come crashing down. I could dwell the rest of my life in those maybes, live happily believing the black of night whispers untruths. But I’ve never been much for doubting the revelations that come to me at night. And I’ve never been a procrastinator. Best to get on with it.
Rachael LindseyPublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsMy Boy, I Am So Sorry
My son, I am sorry your Christmas is no longer what you remember it being. I am sorry that as you get older, beliefs fade and things that you once believed in feel disappointing. The important thing is to remember that you can still have fun with it. Just because things you once believed in faded doesn't mean it can't be exciting to get a few gifts, they just become a little more practical as you get older.
Karli LawPublished 2 years ago in ConfessionsI Lied
I lied, sprawled out across the crap-encrusted carpet of my empty house, my sweat-spangled back soaking up more debris than the old Dyson in the cupboard had over the past six months, I should have let Bec take it; she did say that I’d never use the thing.
Paris DwyerPublished 2 years ago in Confessions5 Stupid Things I Did Throughout My Life
I am a pretty intelligent person. Or so I like to think. I have always prided myself on the fact that I was a nice, well-behaved, and normal guy. I never got in any big trouble in school, never got drunk or high, or killed anyone.
