If you are reading this, most likely we haven't spoken in awhile. We met some where along the way, and at some point we parted ways. Whether it was intentionally or unintentionally it happened, and I am trying to process why.
Let me be honest here for a moment, COVID-19 wreck shop in many people's personal lives this year. It brought many together, but it also caused several people to see their true colors and go their separate ways. For me it unpacked a lot of personal truths I wasn't prepared to have come to a head and did. After 5 years of being in a mentally and verbally abusive relationship, I decided for the sake of my kids and myself it was time to finally file the paperwork and leave for good.
With the holidays around the corner, I decided this year to purposely make these the most memorable holidays I possibly can for my children and I. Am I the only person who gets a literal high from getting packages sent to my house? Or does your amazon delivery guy know your Corgi name and bring your dog treats? Okay just me, however if you are one of the many people who understand the struggle of hiding packages from your husband, or have to tell your spouse that it was "on sale" as a justification for buying said item, then I have the latest fast growing company to keep an eye on.
When I stumbled upon the world of "booktube" the one thing I noticed everyone had in common was an enormous library. Booktube and bookstagram are corners of the internet where book enthusiasts go to share their love of books. Usually this entails them reviewing books for their booktube (YouTube channels), booktok (TikTok), bookstagram (Instagram) etc. People usually spend hundreds of dollars on collectable books with different versions of covers, bookish merch etc. Truthfully the scene is blowing up. It used to not be cool to be a booknerd, but now it's become a full blown career path for people!
