Like many single people, when this dreaded holiday comes around, I always get depressed. I’ve barely ever had the opportunity to celebrate Valentines Day with a girl and this year, even with Covid adding to the humiliation of it, it was no different for me. Usually I’d spend this day sulking about how crappy being single is and maybe find a way to splurge on myself, to have a day to myself, to show myself how great I am, despite not having a girlfriend and how i have no need for one.

The amount of new music being released is overwhelming. The task of sifting through it all may feel more like a chore instead of the joy music is meant to bring into our lives.

...And I may happen to be one of those. Imagine... a few years long ago... you just met the love of your life but you don’t know it at first. All you know is that he has the best smile in the whole world and the first time you laid eyes on him, you felt as if you had known him for longer than you’d been alive.

I just celebrated another birthday. I've been on this planet for more than 40 years now, and I've heard a lot of great music over that time. I found myself thinking about that, and I decided to take on a challenge that even Ally thought was crazy. I decided to name my 100 favorite songs ever!

There is nothing wrong with "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran or "So High" by John Legend as your wedding day song. In fact, though very popular as wedding songs they remain undoubtedly very beautiful songs to express one's love with. That being said, sometimes as LGBTQ people it would be nice to have romantic songs written for our types of relationships by artists that understand our struggles.

Lately I've been studying different programming languages and while taking in depth notes over CSS, Javascript, and HTML I found that these songs helped me to stay focused and keep momentum as I worked.

Being the Queen is not all about singing, and being a diva is not all about singing. It has much to do with your service to people. And your social contributions to your community and your civic contributions as well. - Aretha Franklin

I've spent several years on the radio, sometimes weekly, sometimes periodically, sometimes twice a week. It was often freeform radio, but there were about four years where I was on a slot that played only soul and funk. One of the more enjoyable ways to create music programming for either format would be to arrange the tracks around a theme. I stopped being on the radio when I left for the Pacific Northwest in 2017. I've done some guest spots since then, but mainly I enjoy having my weeks entirely free. I used to spend 20 hours a week preparing for what I'd play on the radio. I miss it sometimes, but I'm glad to have opened up my schedule a bit.

These songs shall play from the clouds. Or at least in my paradise that’s what’s going down. I wish for instrumentals to play in the background of my life at all times. That way I can be alone without feeling the loneliness of it all. For my most meaningful playlist be made for anyone willing to be influenced by the music I am excited to share. Here it is:
