Lately I've been studying different programming languages and while taking in depth notes over CSS, Javascript, and HTML I found that these songs helped me to stay focused and keep momentum as I worked.

I decided to put this playlist to the test and also played it in the background as I went through my course to learn Portuguese and it made the experience much better. I also felt like I had retained more of the material with the music than I had without it in the background. Up until this year I had always been against listening to music with lyrics while reading or studying, but these songs will not throw off your focus, and I never felt overwhelmed or distracted by any of them. On the contrary, they actually enhanced my experience of learning to code.

Whatever new skill you're striving to learn in 2021 I hope you will allow this playlist of curated tracks to accompany you along the way. If you stumbled upon this playlist but have nothing to study then I wholeheartedly encourage you to study some programming languages, since this is a skill that levels up anyone’s resume.

1. Missing You

Love and unity are the foundations of house music, and given the current state of our world we could use more music that carries those themes, which this song does effortlessly.

2. Ferdinand

The steady dreamlike bass creates suspenseful moments that contrast with the colorful traditional house synthesizer sounds.

3. Indian Summer

This song will inspire your next study session. If you easily get distracted by your phone and browsing social media minute mark 3:15 literally tells you what to do.

4. Hold On

There's nothing like a xylophone in the background to keep focused.

5. SHE

This universal and infectious song builds with subtle intensity, enveloping you entirely. May this magnificent work of art inspire you to create art.

6. Zeal

The energy that these instrumentals dish out will give you the momentum of a powerful locomotive.

7. SUNDOWN

This rhythmic/ groovy beat accompanied by Harlow's steady flow provides a wonderful backdrop for any study session.

8. 4th Dimension

If Kanye West and Kid Cudi can fly high above their demons with this song then you can overcome whatever research paper comes your way with it too.

9. Running with the Wolves

Aurora has said that this song "Running With The Wolves is about freedom and joining nature again, getting away from phones and radio and all the stuff we keep around us." You can be free too, as soon as you finish studying.

10. So Far from You

A beautiful voice with a steady tempo.

11. Buff Baby

The airy beat covers heavy topics without the typical moody beats we normally hear when we listen to songs that discuss serious matters. So, despite the sad lyrics this uplifting beat will keep you on task.

12. Aura

The guitar paired with the upbeat tempo in this song creates an invigorating atmosphere.

13. Far Away Place

This melancholic deep house will help you dance your way through studying today.

14. 1542

An exotic/trippy techno experience that will take you into a different state of mind.

15. Sirens

This is a slow hypnotic beat with deep and happy melodies.

16. Holding It Down

The song is about reminding you of your true self.

17. Jeune fille garnement

This sassy disco song builds up bringing you a world of energy and happiness.

18. Umi

A killer high energy beat that will leave you wanting more.

19. Syria

The song itself is a slow minimal trip with chopped up guitar licks, and a gorgeous flute sample that takes the listener to far off desert lands.

20. Sol

A smooth steady treat to wind down with after a long study session.

Whether you listen to the entire playlist or take it song by song I truly hope you enjoy it and have a world of success with all your study ventures.
