Meditating With My Unborn Child
How can a day as beautiful as this, bring you to whisper to me that it’s time for a cry? A cry that is dangerous if bottled, but life changing if released. A cry that today I won’t have to do alone, if I invite you in.

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7rErvFJIOpn3RbQhGwoWtU?si=ed74c7d0cfa34e9e It’s become one of the most well-known cliches: “I’m different” or “I’m not like everyone else.” We tell everyone from a young age that “everybody is unique”. Well, if everyone is unique, then how can anyone claim “I’m different” and it hold any value?

Music is such an amazing thing. It can help you connect to yourself, as well as to others. It can also pull you into a whole other realm, separate you from reality, even if only temporary. There are playlists for everything from workouts to meditation. A playlist for every mood you may feel and every occasion you experience. With the technology we have at our fingertips every moment of the day, we can create and grow our own playlists any time we want. Music is readily available at all times.
My Hot 100 - #50 - 26
Well, it's time for Part 3 of my countdown of my 100 favorite songs of all time. If you need to catch up, here are the links for Part 1 and Part 2. Just to refresh your memory, no genre is excluded from consideration, only one song per artist would make the cut, and if a performer had success as a soloist and with a band, that counts as two separate artists.
Adam WallacePublished 3 years ago in BeatMusic = Mood
Does your mood change you music or vice-versa? Like most people I have music for moods and moods for music. You know, when you are doing something specific and you end up skipping how many ever songs to find the right one to suit you in that exact moment and mood. Maybe sometimes you're driving down the road and that specific song that you have been thinking about comes on. Or when your shuffle play is not playing what you want to hear. I know, I know, our music device is supposed to be able to read our mind but only ads know what we are thinking...

I cheated a little bit here, because I've included a bonus track on my Zen Playlist that isn't by the band Phosphorescent, but I love how the lead singer (Matthew Houck) included the most lovely calming bookends on his two most recent albums - C'est La Vie (2018) and Muchacho (2013).

If you are like me, no matter how old you are, you can connect your feelings to music so easily that there is hardly a moment when you’re not listening to it. Music can bring people together, make you feel like there’s someone out there who understands you, and help you get through the toughest of time.
Cathryn DennisonPublished 3 years ago in BeatVideo Game Music for the Soul
Who would have thought video game music could have become such a powerful and emotive format, with many masterpieces of composition being created for the genre? Certainly, head back to the days of the Commodore 64 and even the Amiga, you might not have supposed the tinny soundtracks which sounded very 'digital' could ever transform into such beautiful works of art.

When the TV doesn't work, when talking or texting doesn't work, when playing the Playstation doesn't work, this playlist that I had put together always comes to the rescue.
Solar Plexus, Music And Me
Being somewhat of a self-proclaimed green witch, I have used herbs, spells and music to help soothe and calm my inner nerves and anxiety for many years. From the use of essential oils when a headache occurs to performing a spell to help me pass my exams as a teenager. In my adult years, however, I started to truly practice the art of meditation.

Music has a universal tongue. Songs have words in many languages, but the feelings behind them can often evoke emotion or even form connections, without a more in-depth understanding of the lyrics.
Hillary TuttonPublished 3 years ago in BeatThe Pulse of a Story: A Playlist
Circa 2010, I think every writer I knew made playlists to go along with their novel drafts. It was "the thing" to do at the time for writers (especially after Stephenie Meyer of Twilight fame made it a point to acknowledge her musical muses in the acknowledgements of all her books). I was nineteen, an aspiring writer with her head full of bits and bobs and fantastical fluff, and who was I to deny the allure of the beats to be found for my own stories?
