London Calling: Nightwish At Wembley Arena
“We were here!” - Nightwish I was introduced to Nightwish through a video of their 2013 performance at the Wacken festival in Germany. I was instantly mesmerized by their exciting pyrotechnics, unique soundscape, and singer, Floor Jansen, who had soaring vocals and the ability to hold the crowd in the palm of her hand. The band’s discography immediately found itself in constant rotation in my playlists.
Carl J. PetersenPublished about a year ago in BeatA recap 'No more demos' live at the arthouse
It's the time of the year for reflection and indulgence. We eat too much and we drink even more. It's time to end the year in style. For me, it's always a humbling experience when things go wrong and are challenging. I'm one for always learning and it's good to find out what you don't know, preferably this is done before the event happens, but that's life though it doesn't always happen how you expect. You have to expect the unexpected. So from a medical emergency at the start to a successful gig. Here is a little breakdown of how the evening went down on Saturday the 10th of December.

From Amir Royale Sophomore year, NYU Tisch’s Clive Davis Institute, 2017. I created the concept of Stories of the Lost, Rich & Tormented as a "Writing the Hit Song: Deep Cutz" homework assignment. Over the course of 14 weeks, I crafted and reworked about 12 or so ideas. Suddenly, my songwriting professor at the time (Eren Cannata of Cove City Sound Studios, Facethouse Records & Warner Chapel Music), directed us to use all the content we created thus far to formulate an EP. This project would then become one we’d pitch and present to potential A&R scouts. It was our final project. I curated 5 of my best records across the class to showcase a conceptual narrative and description of greed, lust, and youth insecurity within American culture. It is the final entry within my four-EP-long music chronicle (dating back to my 2015 EP, This Is for You.). To let this project go free finally—feels like a blessing. Thank you.

Like Phantoms Forever
“Welcome to the Black Parade” used to be my least favorite song on My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade, which happens to be my favorite album of all time. With over half a billion Spotify streams to date and a permanent spot on every mid-2000s emo nostalgia playlist, it is by far their most iconic song. But I skip it almost every time it comes on. I still like it, but once you’ve listened to a few too many mid-2000s emo nostalgia playlists, you start to get very tired of that G note intro.
Of Limbo Take A Ride In Their Metallicar in New ‘Let's Go' Video

They create an electric atmosphere that is infectious - making it impossible not to have a good time. They want you to come to have a good time… Or don’t come at all. Of Limbo is racing forward and ready to move to another level with their career.

Anyone who knows me well, knows that my favourite musical band is, and has always been, The Angels. I was I guess, one of their top groupies back in the day. I followed them from pub to pub, gig to gig and never missed a show back in the 1980’s.
