I Got Me This VDAY <3
Are you "anti Valentines day"?? Well, Valentines is upon us. Firstly, what is Valentines day? It's when lovers express their affection with greetings, gifts and cuddles.... so what do you do if your single? Uhhhhhh.... well I bet the majority just sit around and pout that they aren't able to perform to these standards. That's too gloomy for me. How about we change that??!!
Karina ForthPublished 3 years ago in BeatPlaylist: Types of Single on Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day unites all the singles in the world to be lonely at the same moment without the acknowledgment (or permission) of the individual. It sounds sadder than it is. Being single doesn't have to mean being sad, especially when you have great music to listen to. Despite having the single commonality, most of us are single for different reasons. Pick and choose you're reasons and build a playlist based on your "Type of Single."
Single AF
Single. Taken. Single. Taken. Being dumped (or dumping someone) and going through heartbreak is hard, but it’s always a learning experience and something that you shouldn’t be ashamed of. Not every relationship will work out. Not every marriage will last. It can be difficult to make the decision to be single for anyone because not only do you have to deal with the social comments, you also have to deal with your own mind turning on you.
Nicole HornPublished 3 years ago in BeatYou don't need emotional scars to hate Valentine's Day
You don't have to be single to hate Valentine's Day. You don't have to carry scars from previous nightmare dates and cruel break-ups to go into hiding when February 14 dawns with a petal-red sky.

As the dreaded Valentine's Day falls upon us and my social media feed is full of reminders that this is the all important day that will define how loved I am and thus my value as a human being, I can't help noticing that Valentine's Day seems evoke all of our fears, insecurities, vulnerabilities and wounds, and all of our defence mechanisms come out to play.

F*ckin’ Perfect. Yeah, that pretty much describes it. I was listening to Halestorm, probably a bit louder than I needed to, and missed my exit. And the next one wasn’t for five miles.

Life is full of heartbreak, frustrated desires, unrequited love. Along comes a holiday dedicated to love, passion, romance; quickly appropriated by the card, flower, candy, and now the beef jerky industry. Because who doesn't love a beef jerky rose, amirite?

Valentine's Day is one of the most contentious holidays of the year. It's a strange day and the only holiday to have taken on dual meanings and celebrations.
How To Write Song Lyrics
So I have to start by saying that there really is no right or wrong way to write song lyrics. I just simply thought I'd share a few ideas that have become "go-to's" so to speak. Just like any other writing endeavor, a set of song lyrics is only bound to the freedom of the creative process that implies that if something works, it works.

We all know that Valentine's day was a holiday invented by a card company (Hallmark). OK maybe not invented per se, but certainly pushed by them for profit. Nonetheless so many of us are drawn in by the red heart promise of romance or at least chocolate that it affords us. I am not innocent, I pandered to it just like everyone else, in what I reassured myself was a more relaxed and nonchalant way. But it's happened, my first single Valentine's day in over 2 years, no longer a day I'll be acknowledging.
Nessy WriterPublished 3 years ago in Beat♬ Music can fix 🔨 a calendar
Once again music will save a life... It has surely saved mine many times before when looking and feeling so dull in my teenage years, I surprised everyone belting out my favorite song on the school bus, like a mentos candy dropping in a 1 litre Coke bottle, I resuscitated from the most insignificant ashes and exploded in some wonder kid and no drugs were involved in the process...
