Incivility in Education
Students and faculty need to be empowered so they can construct a culture of respect and civility in and out of the classroom. Classroom incivility can be found in its many forms, but the largest area of concern by far is cell phone usage.

Defining My Hometown
I grew up in the small, tourist town of Helen, Georgia. Helen is located at the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River in the farthest corner of North East Georgia. I grew up with the banks of this river at my back door and never learned to swim!

I moved to Arizona in 2011 with four of my five children as my oldest had already established a home back east. I was recently divorced and when I moved to Southern Arizona and the only known in my life was that I had my savings, my kids, and the home I had rented.

Contemplating the Painful Questions That Haunt Me
The Wind Down in Mexico The warm wind is magic to the soul on these long night walks along the border wall. The international street is deserted except for an occasional border patrol truck parked along the side of the road. The ten- o- clock siren blares down in Mexico creating a symphony with the slow-moving night train.

I asked my family if I would be liable when someone had a heart attack from emotional overload! The post literally had 133 comments in just a few minutes! Were people even reading it at this point?
