I'm optimistic, married, a mom, a writer, a reader, an artist. Being only thirty years young, I want to be a published author when I grow up. I hope to help heal the world with my words, for they are quite powerful when used correctly.

The year 2020
Hello, my fellow human beings! Music is thick in the air and I'm listening... This year has been, well... something else, huh? It's been a little jarring more times than any of us would care to admit. Sometimes, we yearn for that sweet escape, that place where everything is fine, where there is no reason to worry. We've spent so much time stressed and worried about everything and everyone.

10 Fun DIY Gifts that are actually cool.
I don't know about you, but I love being creative. It makes gift giving so much more fun, in my mind. I don't just buy something and stick a bow on it. I buy everything I need and create something great! There's nothing wrong with buying gifts, though. That's not what I'm saying. I just think it's fun to do something different.

A Good Deed
With 2020 almost in the rearview mirror, things haven't calmed down too much and I wonder if there is something that I can do to give back? Are there any contactless good deeds available? It's not like I can volunteer anywhere or even give my son's old (but in good condition) toys to children without families of their own and it's not like I could donate food anywhere either.

DIY Christmas Cards kids can make!Top Story - December 2020
There comes a point when children want to give loved ones something, just like everyone else. I certainly remember being a child and wanting to give back, but not knowing what I could do or if anyone would like it, at that.

Merry Christmas to you!
Christmas time is here (even though people all over the US began decorating months ago) and everyone buzzes with excitement. This year has been a bit of a drag and the Christmas magic still hangs proudly in the air. A beautiful time of year when everyone can forget their troubles by channeling all their energy into creating this one magical night.

A Letter to Santa
Dear Santa, I know you're a busy guy so it's okay if you don't write me back. I know that there are like billions of other kids all over the world that you're getting letters from. And I know that you supposedly know every one of us, but (no offense) I find that a little hard to believe. I mean, there are so many of us and only one of you. How do you find the time to know all of us? Anyway, no hard feelings if you forget about me sometimes. (I'll still leave you freshly baked cookies by the tree). I get it, but I wanted to write to you anyway because this year, I really could use a Christmas miracle.

When Life Brought Me You
I met him sitting in front of my house, smoking a cigarette, deep in thought. At first, he simply passed by me without speaking, but, then, he came back around and asked if I had another cigarette to spare. I told him that I didn't, but I could share this one with him.
