Black and White
COLORS I was born at the beginning of the 60’s. Television was still new to the public. My parents purchased their first T.V. around my fourth birthday. I sat upon my dad’s lap and watched many shows growing up being the only female of eleven children, this gave me an advantage of being a daddy’s child. The movies were all in black and white. W. C. Fields, May West, Batman and Robin, Miss Kitty Show and Laurel and Hardy, were amongst my favorites to watch. In fact, the only time I watched television, was when my dad came home from work or on weekends.

Me and Mom
ME AND MOM (A short story) It’s a Spring day in the countryside of Folkston, Georgia. The sun is bright, and birds are chirping like crazy in a tall tree that I try my best not to walk under. When I visit my friend Bobby, I have to go under that tree. Boy, if I didn’t know any better, I’d think the birds hold their poop to have a laugh at me trying not to get all pooped on. It took some time after coming home from Bobby house with bird poop all in my head and shirt to realize why my mom always asked me, if I was taking the umbrella. My reply would be the same, “The weather is okay mom. I don’t need it.’

SHARE
SHARE How can I live with myself if I choose to share- you with another? When would you be mine and not borrowed or shared- When wanting to sleep in your arms, I would have only half of your body to claim? Possibly waking looking in the face of another person that I wish- is not here… being into me, all of me, would be only a desire of mine because, I agreed to share- due to your indecisiveness.
