Butterfly Kisses
My father didn't cry at my wedding, and I was glad. I wouldn't have known what to do or how to react if he did. In fact, I went to great lengths to ensure that he wouldn't, because if he, someone I never saw cry, started crying, then I would start crying. That included abolishing the traditional father-daughter dance (though it wasn't the only one my husband and I abolished), and thus saving myself from the heart-tugging, tear-jerking beauty of the song Butterfly Kisses. I'd already succumbed to that song once, in one of my classes at university, and I didn't want to ever do so publicly again.

Interview With Author Robyn Watts
At 39+ Robyn considers herself a late entrant to the publishing world, but that's something I can relate to, being around the mid-30s myself. Starting her author journey late in life, however, has given Robyn some perks: life has given her so much to write about. She currently lives in Canada with her partner and daughter, and when she's not writing, they love going camping and fishing together.

Interview With Author Rebecca L. Fearnley
Rebecca has been obsessed with two things since she learned to walk and talk: stories and animals. Luckily, the two seem to be very compatible. She writes stories set in strange worlds filled with bizarre creatures, strong female characters and magical powers. She started her writing career as a poet, performing all over the country and publishing her first collection, Octopus Medicine, with Two Rivers Press in 2017.

Meet-Cute Anecdotes
Inexplicable It was almost the worst day of my life. My alarm didn't go off for some inexplicable reason, so I woke up late. There was a traffic jam for some inexplicable reason, so I missed my pilates class. The barista got my order wrong for some inexplicable reason, so I was stuck with a hot drink instead of a frappe. The café was crowded for some inexplicable reason, so I was forced to take the only free table outside, where it was inexplicably warm. My ex left me for some inexplicable reason, so I was alone on a table for two.

Dancing Around In Circles
Hypothetical "Hypothetical question," she started to say, leaning forward ever so slightly. "So there's this girl, and she has a guy friend that she really likes. But he doesn't seem to get the hint. Should she go ahead and tell him, so she'll know if he likes her back or not?"

Flirty, Fluffy, Flights of Fancy
Delayed Not for the first time, his flight was delayed. She didn't know him. Not personally. But she knew he often took the 7 o'clock flight that was unfortunately almost always delayed, and that he would order a chicken sandwich from her stall as soon as the delay was announced. She was also very much aware how cute he was.
