Eating my experiences (21)
TOME 22 We finished taking inventory for the day and lay on our freshly dried blankets in a heap of human flesh. We felt safe for the first time since Zach was stolen, a welcomed solace. We laughed and smoked and drank fresh water from the river. We found a decent stock of wine in the basement, but chose to avoid it for the day, allowing ourselves to get acquainted with our surrounding first. We found the toilet does flush, but only one of them, the very upstairs bathroom. The hot water didn't work, but the electric stove did, so we could take hot baths, but not showers, a luxury I had imagined long gone.

Eating my experiences (20)
TOME 21 The next several days were a blur of joints and gazing longingly at Lilly who had encompassed my every thought. I found myself staring at her grace and peppy natured reactions for hours at a time. Our trip back took three days, as we broke for camp often and joyously. I had my good friend Zach back, as well as a new friend to explore. Other than Lilly our trek was uneventful, a much needed release of tension after the tragedy and horror that unfurled in the militia's headquarters.

Eating my experiences (19)
TOME 20 Lilly seemed reluctant to take my hand as I stood on the first landing outside the window she had found. "It's okay, you can always get off at the very next floor if this is to much for you" I plead, wanting nothing more than to keep her safe at my side. She had the ebb of a fairy in old media, back when we could get to it easily.

Eating my experiences (18)
TOME 19 We ran down the hallway dodging people as though they were memories, absent mindedly with twinge of fear. We were lucky there was no staff outfit, as long as we could remain away from conversation, we may just make it. We wove in and out of supposed reality as paranoia set in. I could see Aurora from the corners of my eyes, as my breath halted in my lungs.

Eating my Experiences (17)
TOME 18 As reality set in, burrowing into my bones, I could see how imperative it would be to get out of here. "Z...Zach, we're on the fourth floor right?" I ask, looking for any possibility of freedom from this hell scape of my friends blood. My voice comes out weak and pleading.

Eating my experiences (15)
TOME 16 I woke to what I could swear was my cat jumping onto my bed, I allowed myself a dash of excitement at the prospect of seeing her. Sitting up abruptly, allowing Zach's arm to fall to the bed, I am greeted with the reality of my cat being gone. I had faced this several times before now, yet it hits me hard none the less.

Bipolar, BPD, & CPTSD
True bliss can be hard to find, and when found it is a fragile state of being. I have been stable for almost two years now, yet I still search myself at night for fear of becoming manic or depressed again. I spent most of my adult life in one or another state of being, both a unique hell all it's own. I am lucky to be medicated into a stable state, yet I am aware all the lithium, seroquel, and lexapro in the world will never cure me. I am always in danger, always one episode from destroying my life again, and again.

Eating my experiences (14)
TOME 15 The walk towards downtown was peaceful and we enjoyed catching up to one another. I walked hand in hand with Zach, an act that brings up old memories of me crying in his arms over now seemingly trivial problems involving my mother. He is a kind and calming soul which I am glad to have retrieved. He would often catch me smiling up at him and tease me lightly. Just like old times.

Eating my experiences (13)
TOME 14 I awoke with stars in my eyes and a deep sour taste in my mouth. I had only been unconscious for a few minutes according to Alex, who stayed by my side while Zach looked for supplies amongst the items in storage here. My time when I fainted felt timeless, and frenzied, but dreamless. I always felt worse for wear upon waking, but I'd always had problems with such things as I was born with POTS.

Eating my experiences (12)
TOME 13 The three of us walk for a short while, forgetting ourselves in the need to catch up, Zach had spent his days amidst the mercenaries, gaining limited information. He had only aspirations to make it to the next day as he was treated fairly well here, despite his awareness of how quickly it could change.
