Memory of a Miracle
I turned the corner in the thrift store and came face to face with the memory of a miracle. Baby Giggles. THE Baby Giggles from Ideal. Not the redone version with the mod outfit, straight hair, and hard plastic legs. The original one, with chubby baby arms and legs.

Going Home
My father walked me down the aisle when I was 19 years old. As we stood in the back of the chapel waiting for our cue he squeezed my hand and said "Are you sure? Just let me know and we'll keep on walking out the back door." I laughed and told him I was sure.

Happily Ever After is the Start of a New Beginning
I must have been around eight years old when I learned my prince was never gonna arrive. I was in the car, alone, with my father. Five kids (eventually) in our family and very few times that we had a reliable car, I can't imagine why this was true, but it was.

Word Power
From the day I learned there were negative numbers I've never fully trusted math. (NEGATIVE numbers? You count things that are less than zero?!) I've heard of people juggling the numbers. Cooking the books. And who in Retail hasn't seen a version of 'Magic Math'? You know what I mean:
