Almost immediately after I entered college, my life started falling apart. The flimsy tapes I had used to tape my mental sanity started crumbling down. The small cracks started widening and the hold I had started slipping away. The wounded and unresolved childhood trauma started showing up, taking up the form of mood swings and random crying spells.
I discovered that my adult attachment style fell in the category of anxious-preoccupied in therapy. As my therapist rambled on about the attachment styles and their formation in the early years of childhood, I zoned out. After several failed relationships and deep-set insecurities, I finally knew what was making everything go all wrong. I knew the name of the monster that had my life under control.

I have always loved eating. For me, eating oily, unhealthy fast food was equivalent to soothing myself with love. Whenever I was in pain, I ordered food. When I was grieving, I ate out. My obsession with fast food was not limited to negative events. Whenever I achieved something, I celebrated by going out and dining in my favorite fast food joints.
