Don't Fall in Love With Me:
Oki Crow has always wanted to live off the grid. It’s a thought that came to him in his teens, after learning there was such a thing, he became obsessed with the idea. After college, perhaps, he can begin building his own home out of papercrete, on Raspberry Island, with his dogs and a boat. This would be the dream for him, and he’s already begun making it a reality. It’s easy enough to make papercrete, and it’s a great option if you’re on a budget. Oki has been saving up; he’s determined once he gets his mind set on something, and he hates being wasteful. Unfortunately, this opinion isn’t shared by much of the human race, and that’s why the planet is becoming uninhabitable. Oki doesn’t have a lot of goals in life. He doesn’t care to finish school, or to get a job, or to make friends. Living off the grid is his only desire, pretty much, and most people find this sad.

overkill
greeted by a tapestry of stars, you are awoken by the sound of your name: gentle, cautious, an attempt to rouse you peacefully. they kiss you, a soft stroke on your peppermint lips. you whisper, and you laugh, and sometimes you fuck, a passion-ridden rollercoaster. they dress in an outfit they claim makes them look professional. you run a hand down their sleepy cheeks.

The Truth About Rainbow Capitalism
On June 28, 1969, queer activist Marsha P. Johnson helped lead the Stonewall Uprising in Lower Manhattan, an event which sparked gay liberation in the 1960's and 70's. In 70's New York City, the first of an annual gay liberation march occurred, honouring the events of Stonewall. Since then, every June marks a month of visibility and remembrance within the global LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.

A Little Girl's First Love
It's Wednesday, and a man is twenty six years old. Early in the evening, he escorts his wife to the maternity ward of the hospital, eager for his first child. It's a girl, small and sickly, taken away to be cared for. It's easy to speculate, as a prospective parent, how one would act or feel around their child. It's easy to make plans on how to parent if you haven't become one.

I Was Never a Cat Person
In 2019, I was moving out of my tiny apartment and on the lookout for a furry friend. Growing up, I never was really fond of cats: I had a childhood dog, who was tiny and affectionate, and died of old age in 2017. Dogs were fun, and friendly. Cats? Forget about it.
