The Hidden City of Pompeii
A trip to Italy is not complete without a trip to explore the ruins of Pompeii. You can feel the history in each step you take. The tour takes you back in time. I am glad that I got to experience this tour while traveling to Italy, long before the pandemic.

Fundations Program
Early Language Development Throughout my teaching career, I worked with students in developing language fluency which begins at a very early age. Children develop their ability to speak and pronounce correctly at different times. A more structured language program will help them develop further from their Sesame Street watching days. This show has always been a springboard for language learning.

Tomie dePaola
Tomie dePaola is my all-time favorite children’s author. He has written and illustrated over 200 books that children continue to enjoy. I was saddened to hear about his death in March of 2020, at the onset of the pandemic. What a great loss to children’s literature!

A Kitchen Update
A Quick Kitchen Update The old countertops just blended together with no brightness. When we bought our home five years ago, I thought the kitchen was filled with beautiful cabinets, lots of space and area to cook. Over time, the countertop (which continued as a backsplash) became dark and dreary and seemed much harder to keep clean and shiny. In fact, I often cleaned it over and over again and it would seem dull and dreary to me. Sometimes, the next day I would find some leftover residue from cooking the day before that I missed on this dark combination of colors. This was the same countertop that I always misplaced my glasses on as they blended in. This happened many times during the day.

The Beach
Whether it’s digging your toes in the sand, or collecting seashells while dodging small, coastline waves, nothing compares to the serenity you feel when you go to the beach. The salt air smell and the calmness of watching the waves, can make all the stress leave your body.

Veal Your Way
Veal is my favorite meat dish and unfortunately because of the price I don’t cook it very often. In fact, it is one of my go to meals when I go out to eat. I will always try a new dish and sometimes if I don’t make it with veal at home, I will use chicken. But it’s just not the same as a piece of tender veal. Besides a veal chop grilled, I have made Veal Parmigiana and Veal Milanese at home.

The Mask
Mask: a covering for all or part of a face, worn as a disguise, or to amuse or terrify others; disguise The visual jagged lines and penetrating noise on the TV screen screamed at him. The piercing sound of the static and the visual snow made him cringe as he continued to get ready to leave his torturous dwelling…..

A Mother's Love....
What is a Mother’s Love? A mother’s love is like nothing else in the world. It knows no boundaries and will crush anything that stands in its path. It is an unconditional love, with no strings attached. You love your child for who they are, who they have become and no matter what.
