Thanksgiving has a unique connection with Mary had a little lamb
The Thanksgiving holiday has something unique in common with the children's poem Mary had a little lamb. Both of them came about because of the same woman. She was born Sarah Josepha Buell in Newport, New Hampshire. Her father, Captain Gordon Buell, was a Revolutionary War veteran. Sarah was homeschooled by her mother Martha Whittlesay Buell and her older brother Horatio who had attended Dartmouth College. In 1811 Sarah became a schoolteacher and that same year met David Hale whom she wed on October 23, 1813. The couple had five children but sadly, after only 9 years of marriage David Hale passed away in 1822.

Melania Trump breaks First Lady tradition and snubs Jill Biden
There has been a tradition in America where outgoing First Ladies extend kindness to the FLOTUS who will succeed them. Laura Bush graciously reached out to Michelle Obama and offered to help her in any way that she could in the role of First Lady. Mrs. Obama did d the same for Melania Trump but was met with fierce resistance. Melania’s representative said she was an independent woman who did not need help and would navigate the role of First Lady on her own terms. Donald Trump’s wife did however accept an invitation from Michelle Obama for tea. The five presidents' wives before Melania Trump got along well and even posed for photos together.

CDC confirms wearing masks does protect the wearer from the coronavirus
When the Centers For Diseases Control first announced that face masks protect others and not the wearer, many people questioned this logic. We have all seen someone wearing a mask to keep from sneezing at fresh cut grass, or when they leave the hospital to prevent germs. It just did not sound right or seem fair that the person wearing a mask could be at risk from those around them who chose not to do so. It made more sense to a number of individuals that wearing a mask would keep the droplets from others from getting in your face. Now, the CDC acknowledges that this is true and adds that universal wearing of masks can prevent further shutdowns.

Americans hope Republicans will settle down after January 20
There is a saying in some churches, that the spirit of the leader falls upon the people in the congregation. This premise seems to be holding true regarding the White House as well. Ever single day for four years, Donald Trump has unleashed anger, hatred, deception, and lies upon the American people. His rhetoric has been so effective that 71 million registered US voters cast a ballot for him to have a second term. Now some of them, along with the majority of the GOP members are agreeing with him that the election was stolen. This is ludicrous to a sound minded individual but those poisoned by Trump's vitriol believe it to be true.

Three US presidents who did not attend their successors inauguration.
The inauguration of the president of the United States is a ceremony that marks the beginning of a new four-year term. This ritual takes place even if the sitting president will continue in office for a second term as with Barack Obama in 2012. The inaugural service has been taking place at noon EST on January 20, since the 1981 swearing in of Ronald Reagan. This ceremony is held at the west front of the United States Capitol facing the National Mall. This view allows the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument to be seen from a distance. President elect Joe Biden will be sworn in on January 20, 2021.

'General Hospital' sending subtle messages that Lulu might die
The handwriting seems to be on the wall for actress Emme Rylan where General Hospital is concerned. Daily Soap Dish, Celeb Dirty Laundry, Soap Dirt and Soaps.com have all reported that Rylan and William deVry, (Julian Jerome) have been fired. Neither actor has said anything to definitely confirm this, but both have said enough to imply that it is true. Viewers are angry and do not want to see either of these great actors leave. Fans knew there might be budget cuts post COVID but did not expect these two cast members to be fired. If the rumor mill is correct, then more heads are going to role.
