My Review of "Batman Forever"
Batman Forever came out back in 1995. It was a changing of the guards as a lot of the major players of the first two movies were out and in came some new blood. We still had our main characters but the actors and people behind the camera were all different. Watching this movie now, gives me some perspective as to what they were trying to go for. The problem is that it didn't really work.

My Review of "Studio 666"
Studio 666 entered into theatres very quietly in 2022. I was meaning to watch it a while back because I love Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny. This is definitely nothing like that movie. The trailer had the same vibes so that's what peaked my interest.

My Review of "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope"
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope came out back in 1977. I watched this movie when I was a little kid and frankly I didn't know what was going on back then. Later on as a teenager I loved this movie as I could grasp the concepts that were happening in the movie. Then into adulthood I still liked this movie but does this movie hold up today for me?

My Review of "Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio"
Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio has recently come out exclusively streaming on Netflix. There's a lot of controversy about this movie but then again anything reimagined by Guillermo del Toro is going to get some sort of buzz. He has an eye for the macabre and this little film is no stranger to that fact.

My Review of "Whiplash"
Whiplash is a dramatic movie that came out back in 2014. It's an interesting time because it was at a time when society was increasingly understanding of political correctness. There are a ton of scenes in this movie that will traumatize a lot of people nowadays. At the time when this movie came out it was still quite shocking. That's not to say we weren't totally surprised either.

My Review of "The World's End"
The World's end came out back in 2013. I was so excited when I heard this movie was coming out back in the day. Being a fan of both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz I was expecting great things for this next iteration. It had the same great ensemble back together again and seemed like it was following in the footsteps of its predecessors. I was definitely disappointed when I first saw this movie.

My Review of "Hot Fuzz"
Hot fuzz is a movie that came out back in 2007. I was a fan of Shaun of the Dead so I was totally on board when I originally heard of this movie. It had all the same players involved and to be honest it's got the same tone. If you liked Shaun of the Dead you're going to love this one even though they're totally different genres.

My Review of "The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (Season 2)"
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (Season 2) has wrapped up in 2022. I have to admit I did like the first season but I wasn't too sure what was in store for this second season. It took them 2 years for them to come out with this second season afterall. Then again you can't blame them since everyone was going through the pandemic.

My Review of "Batman Returns"
Batman Returns came out back in 1992. At the time this was the long awaited sequel to the blockbuster original Batman (1989) movie. The anticipation for this movie was pretty big and everyone had high hopes. I remember watching this movie back in the day thinking wow this was the same but very different from the first movie.

My Review of "King of Comedy (1999)"
King of Comedy (1999) is a Hong Kong comedy that stars the infamous Stephen Chow. I grew up watching this sort of stuff in the past so a lot of the antics don't really phase me. As a westerner watching in I can see how problematic a lot of the scenes can be. That's why I'm a little divided in this review.

My Review of "Shaun of the Dead"
Shaun of the Dead came out back in 2004. I think this horror comedy was revolutionary at the time. Back in those days movies tended to stay in their genres. This movie made fun of the fact that it was a horror movie and was well aware of itself. Now you can see this type of movie all the time. I remember it first with this one.

My Review of "Undercover Brother"
Undercover Brother is a comedy that came out back in 2002. 20 years later I'm watching it again wondering if it stands the test of time. A little bit of me was worried because social norms have changed over the past couple of decades. I loved this movie back in the day and it was a gamble to see whether another long lost love was going to go down in flames.
