My Review of "The Lego Batman Movie"
The Lego Batman Movie came out in 2017. It was at the time when the Lego movie franchises were really strong. This movie skips to the same beat as those other movies but this one is based on the Batman character from The Lego Movie. I watched this back when it first came to theatres and I was kind of unsure what I thought of it when I first saw it. Watching it again I can see more of the appeal of this movie.

My Review of "The Godfather Part II"
The Godfather Part II came out back in 1974 only 2 years after the first movie. Back in the day when I first saw this movie it was a revelation. I couldn't believe I liked this even more than the first movie when the first movie was so good! Today I put the two movies on par with one another. They're vastly different but parallel at the same time.

My Review of "The Sea Beast"
The Sea Monster is a Netflix exclusive animated feature released in 2022. It's one of their better animated features as well. There's a lot of heart and lessons in this movie that a lot of kids can talk to their parents about when this movie is over. Some of the lessons can seem a bit preachy but it's a good conversation to have with kids about.

My Review of "The Godfather"
The Godfather is a classic movie that came out back in 1972. It's an acclaimed movie that is worshipped by many. I have to admit I didn't watch it until I was in my twenties. When I did I actually did a 9 hour binge watch of the trilogy. It was that earth shattering for me. Never have I seen a movie with so much world building and believable motives than this series.

My Review of "Avatar: The Way of Water"
Avatar: The Way of Water has finally arrived in 2022. It's been thirteen years since the original movie came out. That movie was a visual spectacle so we expected nothing less with this one. I'm glad to say that it really is. The problem that I have with this movie comes from a culmination of a whole bunch of small things that added up.

My Review of "Strange World"
Strange World is Disney's latest animated feature film of 2022. They don't really do hand drawn animation anymore so it doesn't come as a shock that this one is 3d animated. It didn't do too well in the box office and that had me curious. I wasn't too sure why since a lot of their movies are quite formulaic and still do pretty well. What was it about this movie that people didn't like?

My Review of "The Patriot"
The Patriot came out back in the year 2000. It was a time when not a lot of us thought about propaganda or even questioned a lot of things in film. That's why I think this movie got away with a lot of stuff when it first came out. Today I'm sure there will be tons of people up in arms about this film when they see it. I remember it fondly the first time I saw it. It was almost like some sort of Batman movie back in the late 18th century.

My Review of "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery"
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is a Netflix exclusive movie that came out at the end of 2022. It is by far my favorite Netflix exclusive movie of the year. It's a movie of it's own but it's the second appearance of Benoit Blanc of the Knives Out movie of 2019. I was a huge fan of that movie and was in doubt for this second outing. Boy was I mistaken.

My Review of "Ready Player One"
Ready Player One is an interesting science fiction movie that came out back in 2018. I remember watching it back in the day and not quite getting it. Oddly enough I read the book before I watched the movie and I still didn't get it. Fortunately after my 3rd viewing I think I'm starting to see why some people had some great opinions about this movie. This isn't to say you have to watch it as many times as I did to understand.

My Review of "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi"
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi is the conclusion of the original Star Wars trilogy. It came out back in 1983 and it had a lot to live up to since the previous movie was so darn good. There was a huge tone change for this concluding chapter and it doesn't quite translate that well today almost 40 years later.

My Review of "Who Killed Santa? A Murderville Mystery"
Who Killed Santa? A Murderville Mystery is a one off episode from the Murderville Mystery TV series on Netflix. It's something that just came out in 2022 but I wasn't familiar with the concept until now. After watching this holiday special I'm inclined to check out the rest of the series.

My Review of "Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back"
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back came out back in 1980. Of all of the movies in the franchise this has got to be my favorite movie. Watching it back I noticed that the new movies and TV shows are kind of ruining this movie. Still entertainment wise I would equate the original movie like Alien and this would be its Aliens sequel.
