The Elephants in the Room
Slaves versus the slave masters. It's not uncommon to hear that term coming from the labor class. Unless you use it in sports, people used to throw a fit. How dare we even compare the two? These are million dollar athletes living cushy and comfortable lives. It is nowhere near the same.

College Athletics: A Review
Listen to the podcast here! The NCAA is a multi-billion-dollar organization. Originally founded in 1906 to save football and the integrity of collegiate sports. Most football teams were run by students and they hired players to take part. Resulting in many injuries and even death.

Understanding Greatness
Short on time? Check out the podcast. Everybody wants to be great. But what does that mean? What would you do if you became great or even the greatest? It’s time to move beyond the words that we say in hyperbole. Start defining our terms because the thing about greatness is that it’s hard to deny. We fully believe we know greatness when we see it. However, today I ask, what is greatness?

Growing Our New Garden
See, I have PTSD from society, but I still stand as the stubborn root that it is built upon, for I am my father’s son, the seed cultivated from my mother, nature’s finest offering, though I am not the oldest fruit from her tree, I grew strong, strong enough to protect my brothers and defend my sisters

Trying to loving it, when it's Hurts
Football is back! While I am grateful, it’s also a reminder of the flaws in our perception of the sport. A sport that glorifies the fraternity of coaches and criticize the young men that judge got out of college for being immature. This weekend is a fresh reminder of the glorification and idolization afforded to coaches. Look no further than former college coach Urban Meyer. Meyer, who has always taken the easy way out, was looking very easy in his bar. A bar he decided was more important to visit than getting back to the team of young men he’s supposed to mold and grown men that depend on his success to pay the bills. How did he spend that time?

Choose Your Halloween Adventure
My favorite season As I’m fortunate to celebrate another birthday in the fabulous month of October, I know that this means it’s time for a fright. Spooky season is upon us, and with it, come the sights and sounds that make us truly feel alive.

My Halloween Playlist
To be honest... When first reading this competition,, my immediate impulse was to make it creepy. Like, really, really creepy. That’s what Halloween means to me. Watching my favorite horror movies and feeling the tingles run down my spine. Most likely suited for those who want to host a haunted house more so than a party. Regardless, these are the songs that just may keep you up at night.

Is Stress Bad?
Stressed for time? Check out the podcast. The Stresses of Life A decade ago, I came up with this idea. It’s called the Stresses of Life. The idea was birthed from my studies as a physiologist. Exercise science is an industry based on discovering the condition of the body and determining the stress required to elicit a result. Improve your health, recover from injury, and maintain a high quality of life. These items fall under Physical Stress.

I Fell Out of a Tree
When I was 10 years old, I fell out of a tree. Perhaps not my finest moment. I remember feeling the sudden pull of gravity. Now, gravity was an old friend of mine. We had a mutual understanding until this point. Today it was the day I finally learned who’s the boss.

What is Sports Performance?
Not to brag but... Legendary Duke Basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski is retiring. The class of 2021 will be the last group of young men he will recruit as a head coach. It will be a special event and quite the memorable ride that I will have a special interest in. That’s because the last athlete that Coach K signed is one of my athletes. It’s a humbling thought that I could contribute to an amazing family and help an athlete maximize their potential, but that’s not the story here. The story here is how an athlete was brought to me before their 8th grade season for performance training and how easily it could’ve gone wrong.
