Once Upon A Time
Once Upon a Time was a show that I picked up when it was in its second or third season. I remember thinking that the fairytale angle was brilliant and they could make it so much darker than the Disneyfied versions of these stories. It has been about a decade since the last time that I’ve seen this show but I know that it got weird towards the end. So this is on the list of shows that started good but went off the rails and we are going to analyze it just the same to figure out where the breaking point was. So here we go with the first season of Once Upon A Time.

Solid First Seasons
So occasionally we’ve talked about shows that just started off so strong and up a muddled mess. Unfortunately this is an all too common phenomenon, particularly in network shows. It boils down to studios wanting more money so they keep their successful shows on long enough to ruin them. So we are going to go through some of the shows that had incredible, groundbreaking first seasons. Perhaps they even had a good first few seasons, but eventually they ended up incomplete and messy.

Winter Musicals
As the wintery cold sets in we are not just watching Christmas movies but we are also watching some winter time musicals. We should know that I am a theatre kid in my heart so we can’t get through the holiday season without me watching some of my favorite musicals. Now as I was trying to explain to my husband earlier each genre of music has seasons. My summer musicals would be like South Pacific, or Shrek. Whereas Fall would be Les Mis and Sweeney Todd. Each musical score has a lot of feelings attached to it and the musicals on this list have sweet, cozy, wintery vibes attached to them which makes them perfect for the end of the year. So now that we have established feelings and vibes, let's go through some of the best musicals for winter.

Netflix Christmas Movies
We are celebrating Christmastime and thus we are taking inventory of all the Christmas movies available on various streaming services. We are now onto examining Netflix’s Christmas offerings. Netflix actually has a decent range, from sweet, well-crafted, artistic Christmas movies, to those fun rom com like Christmas movies. Both are really awesome and very important so let's get into the list.

Christmas Movies to Watch
It is now Christmastime and therefore we are going from one streaming service to another and announcing the best Christmas movies available. There are so many Christmas movies out there but being that every channel has its own service they are spread out all over the place. So that no matter what streaming services you have you will not have to search too far for some holiday cheer. Disney+ is full of the nostalgic options for your holiday cheer and Hulu is more for recent history. So this is Hulu’s list of best Christmas movies.

A Very Disney+ Christmas
As the Christmas season approaches (now, it's right now!) streaming services are upping their holiday game. So we are going to take it one by one, streaming service by streaming service, the best holiday movies available to you. There will also be some recommendations of where you should start. If you happen to combine all of these lists you will have enough Christmas cheer for all of November and December. No one has more options than Disney so here we go with a very Disney+ Christmas movie list.

Gen V
We are rounding to a close on the first season of Gen V and it has been a well paced rollercoaster. I am very invested in this show. The younger characters are written very well and are easy to connect to. I like seeing the younger generation get a handle on their powers and struggle with their morality before they are grown up and Vought pushes them into the spotlight. When we last left off in episode 6 with our group now popped back into the real world and out of Cate’s mind. Our latest plot development is that the virus that The Woods has been producing and testing on Supes isn’t really about controlling them or even making them sick, it's about killing them. Dean Sheddy is hoping this virus can be made contagious to theoretically eradicate the Supes from the world. I don’t think I’m reaching in saying that we can probably expect another death before the end of the season.

November Rewatches
In addition to all the wonderful new TV that is being released on streaming there is a comfort in rewatching things you’ve already seen. I, for example, am in a constant state of rewatching One Tree Hill, Grey’s Anatomy and Gilmore Girls and this fall is no different. But there are some shows that are just meant to be rewatched in the fall. So here are the shows that we are in the middle of rewatching and ones we saved specifically for the cold days.

The Haunting of Bly Manor
The Haunting of Bly Manor is the second Mike Flanagan project we watched after absolutely loving the Haunting of Hill House. This series is slightly shorter than Hill House at 9 episodes all an hour long. Bly Manor took what we loved from Hill House and put it on steroids from the lighting to the camera work. Flanagan's directorial style makes the horror genre something incredible.

Why We Hate Rachel Greene
Friends is one of the most watched shows of all time and as such sparks a lot of debate among both casual watchers and fans. One of the ongoing commentaries is just how much the internet hates Ross Geller. I come to bring a very controversial stance. Ross Geller was a terrible partner, to every woman he ever dated. But he was a good person. He leant Monica money when she needed it, he bought Phoebe her first bike and taught her how to ride it and he gave up a career changing opportunity to help Rachel when he didn’t have to. That said Rachel was a bad partner and a bad person. I am here with an entire article on why Rachel was actually the worst Friend.

Ranking the Halloweentown Films
Okay I am fully aware that this is going to be my most controversial ranking article yet. Those of us that grew up with the Halloweentown movies feel very strongly about them. And that strong sense of nostalgia is what led to this list. I would also like to add that I did not come to these conclusions alone. I brought the perspective of nostalgia and many repeated watches, whereas my husband brings fresh eyes, logic and reason. That said, we agree on this list so no matter what your favorite Halloweentown movie is, this list does its best to be impartial. This list is from best to worst in the most relative way possible because honestly all of the Halloweentown movies are magic and there isn’t really a “bad” one.

Elemental
Elemental is a movie that I have been looking forward to for a while. I thought the trailer looked really cute and honestly Pixar has yet to let me down. I know there was a lot of talk about the animation style when it was first released but I think it really fits the story that the movie is trying to tell.
