November Rewatches

Cozy Weather

In addition to all the wonderful new TV that is being released on streaming there is a comfort in rewatching things you’ve already seen. I, for example, am in a constant state of rewatching One Tree Hill, Grey’s Anatomy and Gilmore Girls and this fall is no different. But there are some shows that are just meant to be rewatched in the fall. So here are the shows that we are in the middle of rewatching and ones we saved specifically for the cold days.

First up we are still rewatching Suits. Look there’s like 7 seasons and we took some detours so now that we are back on it we should finish by the end of the year. We are currently 2 seasons in and I am asking myself how it is possible that it went on for 7 seasons. All the important people know the secret about Mike so kind of curious how long this goes. Full disclosure I never actually finished the series upon the original watch so this is only a rewatch for the next season or so.

We are also on our yearly rewatch of The Good Place. We like watching at the end of the year because we watched it leading up to our wedding so it's a nice show to cuddle up to. It's also such an easy watch with only four seasons. And very well paced seasons at that. This is my third watch through and it is Patrick’s fourth. So not only do we know this show very well but honestly we never get tired of watching it. Watching Chidi and Eleanor fall in love never gets old.

Now we get into the season specific rewatches with Over the Garden Wall. It's perfect for cold weather as it follows two young boys wandering through some snowy woods and having avengers with those they meet there. The voice cast includes Elijah Wood which I love and it is the coziest show. The show kind of starts off as this cute, kinda weird story about these two brothers and then it actually gets pretty dark towards the second half of the show. It is also a short rewatch at only 11 episodes making it a perfect weekend binge.

And last but not least we are (still) rewatching The West Wing. I don’t know what it is about this show that feels like it's the perfect fall weather show but it just is. Maybe because it's always raining whenever their outside, maybe because they are hardly ever outside and I am picturing it raining but whatever it is, it's my cozy show.

Honorable mention for the Great British Baking show. Of which I have a new season to watch and I will rewatch all of the other seasons as well because it is about to be my baking season and therefore I need the sound of the London rain to soothe me as I slip into my Christmas mode. Also there is no possible way to watch or rewatch this show too many times. There is nothing more relaxing then having The Great British Bake Off in the background while you are pulling some hot cookies out of the oven. Perfect.

All of these shows will be finished by the end of December…she said hopefully but not at all realistically. These are some of my favorite shows to cuddle up to and as the weather gets colder. And they are (almost) all very doable watches for the month of November.
