Process

Back to the Boneyard
Redmoon’s Boneyard Prayer was inspired by several things, one in particular being the movie Ironweed. I love the story, the modern bunraku, the music, the dirt, the lighting, and the shadows.

The Art of Writing
Writing used to terrify me. As an English major, I thought every sentence needed to be profound and every metaphor poetic. I agonized over each word choice, reading and rereading until the words blurred on the page. While my papers always earned top marks, the process was torturous.

Infinite Inspiration: How to Never Run Out of Ideas as a Writer?
Are you racking your brains, but can’t think of any ideas? Writing is often a lonely profession where you sit in front of a screen or a piece of paper for hours, doing your best to produce quality content. Sometimes your brain may go blank and you’ll be asking yourself one of the most difficult questions: “What should I write?”

My Unconventional Plans for NaNoWriMo 2023
NaNoWriMo, short for National Novel Writing Month, is an annual challenge to write a 50,000-word first draft of a novel during the month of November. DREAMS
My Dream Having a dream is one of the most beautiful things one can have. Another thing is trying to achieve it when it’s not coming to life because adulthood is different from that 8-year-old girl who wants to be a model and everyone says she will be the next Naomi Campbell.

Am I a writer?. Top Story - November 2023.
“Am I a writer?” I ask myself this question often. Too often. Why do I second guess myself on something I love doing and have done since the age of 10, for what reason? I have no idea. There is no real point in asking if I’m a writer or not because the truth is I have never stopped writing for most of my life. Perhaps what I’m really asking is if I’m good enough to call myself a writer. I know I am comparing myself to the writers I look up to and for that reason I feel I cannot call myself a writer. But as these thoughts go through my head I cannot help but continue my writing journey, writing is part of my life and something I have needed to do my whole life.

To My Younger Self
Where to begin... Well, for starters, living and existing hard and will always be hard. It's a never-ending cycle of amazing highs and horrific lows. Sometimes those lows got too close to the edge for you and well...you somehow pulled through every time.
