Audi’s 1,001-HP Nuvolari Is a 499-Car Farewell to the V8
In the first half of 2027, Audi will build 499 left-hand-drive Nuvolari supercars. The car is named for Tazio Nuvolari, the racing driver who won Grands Prix in Auto Union Silver Arrows in the 1930s. It uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 related to Lamborghini’s engine, three electric motors, and a plug-in hybrid system. Combined output is 1,001 hp. Audi puts it above the R8. The car carries several F1-derived systems. Here is what each part does.

The File Tesla Never Wanted You to Read: “Radar Saves Us”
In July, a regulatory letter reached Tesla. While investigating FSD crashes in low-visibility conditions, NHTSA specifically demanded a document titled “Radar Saves Us.” Emails, meeting minutes, and internal discussions were to be handed over as well. Tesla had already submitted the document privately earlier. The regulator now wants it because it may reflect Tesla’s own understanding of the shortcomings of a vision-only system: fog, glare, dust, the things cameras fear most.

Why Brands Keep Insulting Their Own Customers

The Little Dashboard Light That Can Save You Hundreds. AI-Generated.
If you drive long enough, you will eventually see it: a small yellow symbol that looks like a horseshoe with an exclamation point inside. Many drivers glance at it, promise themselves they will deal with it later, and keep driving. That little light is your tire pressure monitoring system, or TPMS, and it deserves more respect than it usually gets.

Tesla’s Flying Car Got Applause. Its Shareholders Got a $93 Billion Bill.
At the SpaceX test site in Texas, the white Roadster drove up a curved ramp with the body inverted. The tires clung to the wall, the roof pointed toward the ground, and then the car went airborne, rolled, cleared five Teslas parked on the ground, and came back down under thruster control. The applause in the livestream was loud. Musk stood nearby and said something, but the cheering covered it.

Your New EV Has No Spare Tire. Here’s How to Decide Before Your Road Trip
Last year in Lenghu, Qinghai, I saw a new energy vehicle parked on the roadside. Its right rear tire was flat. A gash ran down the sidewall, as if someone had cut it with a knife. The owner stood in the wind making phone calls. The signal kept cutting out. In his trunk was a bottle of tire sealant. It was empty. White goo was smeared on the wheel. He said he had called roadside assistance. They told him the nearest vehicle was three hundred kilometers away. It would take at least four hours.

I Drove a Family EV for 3,800 km. Here’s What Mattered More Than the Spec Sheet.
What a family EV solves, day after day “Let’s wait a bit longer.” That was what the owner “Enjiesuo” said most often before replacing his car. He used to drive a 2.0L gas car. Fuel cost nearly 2,000 yuan a month. He drove for work, visited clients. The car was a tool, not something to enjoy. After switching to the Shangjie H5, he wrote in an owner review: he installed a home charger. After 10 p.m., electricity costs a bit over 0.3 yuan per kWh. That works out to less than 0.1 yuan per kilometer. The H5 is rated at 655 km CLTC. He usually charges to 90%. City roads plus expressways, mixed. A steady 540 km.
