Cato ConroyPublished 5 years ago in WheelTop 5 Car Safety Features to Look for When Buying Your Next Car
It’s amazing to think airbags and seat belts are both relatively new safety features in cars across the world. Seat belts didn’t become mandatory in the United States until 1983, and airbags not until 1998. That marks almost 100 years of the car before putting in safety features that many of us today have never lived without. With technology booming and talks of self-driving cars, it’s not shocking that manufacturers are starting to streamline these features in their newer, everyday models.
Angela FausonePublished 6 years ago in WheelTips for Driving in Snow this Winter
I hate driving in snow and ice, as I am sure you are. I live in Kentucky, where one day it's 70 degrees and the next it will be 30 degrees... it's a mess here. I have seen it snow one day then be 60 degrees the next day! It's worst when that happens, all of that snow melts then freezes the very next day! It makes it very hard to travel in all of that when the weather is always like this. Living here I have picked up a few tips that I think might be helpful to some people. If you have been driving a while I am sure that you already know, but who knows, I might refresh your mind or give you some new insights.

It seems like everyone has gotten into ridesharing these days. Lyft and Uber have made it easy for individuals to make extra money and even make a full income with their services. I have been an avid user of Lyft and Uber since 2014 and I have experienced the good, bad, and ugly of both platforms.

These are the days where rideshare companies are owning the market. Although there are no doubt many rideshare websites and apps around the world right now, two top contenders are the infamous Lyft and Uber apps. Both apps are free to download on your mobile device so long as you use a debit or credit card once you are ready to request a ride. In the early stages of both apps (Uber debuting in 2009 whereas Lyft wasn't founded until 2012), you were able to get a first free ride of up to 20 dollars. I'm not sure if that still stands now, but I do know if someone lets you use their code, then you do get some sort of promotion. Since I am an avid user of both apps, I will happily input my codes at the bottom of this post for anyone who is new to the apps and has not requested a first ride. The code does not expire until you use it the first time, then no more promotions are usable from that code unless a new account from a different phone and phone number is made.
