Portsmouth usually attracts a certain type of tourist. They are seekers of picturesque sunsets, salted air, ice cream, a quaint town square, maybe a boat ride up the Piscataqua. And it's easy to see why. Portsmouth has all of this in spades and if you were to just spend your time downtown and staring at the water, you'd have a pretty good time. But you're not coming just for sunsets. I know you're not. You know you're not. You want the bar that slings the best cocktails, the townie dive that hosts shameless karaoke, maybe a game of pickup sand volleyball and a sunset hike. You're an adventurer, a young, open eyed traveler who knows that behind corners and down side streets is where the real party is. Any seaside town that's been around for almost 400 years has some serious layers to it. Let's explore some of them right now.

“I guess I should have come on a weekday”, I thought as I walked through the tiled street, following the crowds of hot and sweaty people, just like me. We all sought one goal, Nakano Broadway. People, young and old, Japanese and not so many foreigners. The sign was ahead, Nakano Broadway, in capital letters like a Hollywood stage show. Inside we went, into heaven, and hell.

One of the top reasons a group of friends or a whole family would visit a city is to tour the top landmarks of the area. Philadelphia is the city of brotherly love, famous for lots of well-known destinations including musuems, parks, and national historic sites. These sites would consisently be on people's to-visit list when they come to Philly.

The Las Vegas strip is notoriously known for being the land of the wild and letting go of all responsibilities. It’s famously labeled sin city, but in reality, what you do in Las Vegas doesn’t always stay in the city. Before getting on the plane, here are ten dos and ten don’ts to follow and remember as you wander into madness.

There were signs all around me. They had been there silently, muted by the modern world which had grown and evolved around them. Simple crosses embellished on stone tiles, built into the quaint exteriors of the cottages which had stood for centuries. An old manor house which garnered no attention as you drove on by. A medieval church – one which I had seen its tower rise high behind the rows of modern houses for 28 years – yet never fully taken notice of. And finally, a majestic Tudor mansion whose presence had dominated the landscape for hundreds of years. This village of Whitkirk, which I had always called home, that I had always arrogantly deemed mundane, was anything but.

10th Jan 2020 I woke up around 8 and walked back up to the hostel to get some breakfast, sat at a table and ordered beans and scrambled egg on toast, while sat there the Australian lady came in with her husband and the young black boy I had seen in the tea room yesterday. We struck up conversation during breakfast where I got their names, Daniel, Jenny and Mylon. i could not get over how Mylon seemed to be in tune with everything and was much wiser than his years, one thing he said to me very early on in the conversation was, ‘I see you’.

1. Your car. A seminal classic. A rite of passage. Take advantage of one of the innumerable freeways and interchanges, and treat yourself to a cathartic and potentially hazardous emotional upheaval. The 10. The 5. The 101. The 60. The 405. The plethora of choices is overwhelming but the possibilities are endless. Will a famous director spot you from his Tesla and realize you are the muse for his new star vehicle while he sees you sobbing in yours? Will you rear-end Kim Kardashian? Will you get rear-ended by the love of your life in the most quintessentially LA meet-cute of all time? Get more bang for your buck from the leased 2018 Nissan Versa that you somehow procured on a wing and a prayer even though your credit score doesn’t break 600. The most important component to your breakdown on-the-go is the accompanying music. The soundtracks to the musicals Dear Evan Hansen, Waitress, and High Fidelity do nicely, but it’s dealer’s choice. And in LA traffic, you’ll have plenty of time.

I wake up to the sound of Italians speaking at an unnecessary decibel, in my humble opinion. The chill in the air causes me to stay in bed longer and clutch my owl (gufo) blanket around my face. My blinds block out all outside light and I slide on my slippers to avoid the shock of my feet hitting the coldness of the floor as I clamber around for the window. Mentally, I start to prepare for the day’s adventure of searching for Christmas gifts at the open-air market in Piazza San Jacopo.
A Spiritual Journey
What you are about to read may help you begin seeing the synchronicities that occur in your life on a daily basis. After travelling around with no direction, a few months after the death of my dear Mother, I noticed so many signs that she was still with me that I could not deny that everything I have thought about religion was true. Whicht is that they all speak a little of the truth, but there is a connection to them all which stems back much further than most people can imagine. This trip confirmed my spirituality and the truth that we are here for a reason.

Whether you are a student or a worker, backpacks are something that are made to appeal to everyone. Is it okay to get any type of backpack though? Absolutely not! Some backpacks are made with a certain type of activity in mind, while others are made with something else in mind. The first step towards figuring out what type of backpack you need is to determine what you need from it. Are you going to be playing a lot of sports or going hiking?
