A photo shot of the sea from one of Alexandria's beaches in Egypt

Every time I, Enas El Nemr, look at the sea, I feel the greatness of Allah.

The sea tells me a lot of good things, it tells me that Allah almighty who creates the sea, who powers the wind, waves and all the life on the surface of this world, can give me all what I need, strengthens me, guides me, shows me the right way in this life.

When I sit in front of the sea watching birds catch fish from the sea to feed on it, I’m wondering how are they able to catch these fish with such ease?

The answer is simply that Allah almighty creates these birds’ body shape, feet and eyesight in a manner that helps them dive into water and catch fish or grab fish from the surface. It’s really amazing to see birds line fish up smartly on their tongue taking as many back to the nest as possible. Allah almighty who enables these birds to snatch fish then return to air and repeat the process every day and enables giant fish jump out of the sea and eat seabirds mid-air, he gives us many skills to work and earn our livelihood so why there are people in this life all times worry about their income or fear something bad could happen with their finances?

Allah almighty never leaves anyone without food, drink or other necessities of life. Allah provides all people in this life with sustenance, no matter how great their needs.

The cure for anything is salt water, when I see the line where the sky meets the sea and the sun sets reflecting on the sea in million colors, this wonderful sight teaches me that every day I have the choice to design my day in the best way depending on Allah, my creator, in developing myself to be my best version by learning new things and building new skills. Allah almighty creates this universe in the best design.

Allah is kind and merciful. You would find ease after each hardship as long as you clear your mind from negativity and stay strong, positive, trust Allah. Sometimes, it’s not the pain that makes us suffer but it’s our own negative thoughts that make things seem even worse.

Allah almighty is the best listener, if you have problems or social anxiety which are interfering with your ability to function on a daily basis so without hesitation tell Allah in your prayers all your fears, problems, anxiety, Allah listens to you, soothes your soul, reassures you that everything will be fine and your fears are unreasonable because Allah is with you always, you are not alone and what you call problems, are just lessons and the life goes on.

Life is a series of steps, some days we take giant steps while other days, we inch little by little so don’t be depressed because things need to be done gradually.

You can make many good things to humanity as long as you are alive so thank Allah for everything, for the good and bad, happiness and pain. You should fear only Allah because whoever fears Allah and keep his duty to him, Allah helps him get out from every difficulty and grants him many good things he never imagines.

Finally, the voice of the sea speaks to our souls differently, each of us learn something special from the fantastic sight of the sea.

What about you? What does the sea tell you?
