Eastern Illinois’ Finest: Tony Romo or Jimmy G?
Only a day removed from our first Sunday without football for a while, you are probably already starving for your next dose of pigskin. Well, you won’t have to wait that long as the NFL offseason is starting to pick up.

New England Patriots: Record Breakers & Dynasty Makers
Down 28–3 in the third quarter, facing a white hot Atlanta Falcons offense, they did the unthinkable. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick became two men on a mission to shatter the record books and stun Matt Ryan and Julio Jones in the first overtime game in Super Bowl history in as dramatic fashion as it gets.

The Worst Bracket Breakdown on the Internet
I’m a dope. I get far too excited for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament each and every year. I treat the opening weekend like bacchanalia and neglect all adult duties. I inevitably end up with basketball fatigue if *my team* is eliminated. Yet here I am again. Like a virgin on prom night (and thousands of nights after because I’m the type of guy who has a tendency to become obsessively enthralled with all measure of nerd-dom) full of a fervor that can only be described as hormonal.

Why Andrew Luck’s Window for “Greatness” Might Be Closing
A few short years ago, ahead of the 2012 NFL Draft, there was one name that was all the rage. This name was none other than prize quarterbacking prodigy Andrew Luck out of Stanford. Not only was the pedigree supposedly there, being the offspring of another former NFL quarterback Oliver Luck, but according to every scout, pundit, coach, and analyst that salivated over the prospect, the talent and natural ability was there also. This football player, this man, this quarterbacking “GOD” was sure to be the next big thing in the NFL and surely the best quarterback in the league someday.

Who Is This Year’s Dark Horse of College Football?
There is nothing — and I mean nothing — like college football. If you have ever been on a college campus around the time of a big rivalry game (or any big game in general), you know exactly what I’m talking about. Hopes of the playoffs can be dashed in one game. I need some Jim Harbaugh khakis in my life now. Which had me thinking: who are some teams that can make 2017 their magical season? To make the playoffs you need a lot of luck, but that's not the only thing. You need a decent schedule (not too hard because two losses basically takes you out of it), you need to stay healthy, and you need to pass the eye exam (how much fun is this team to watch). This year should be fun. Teams like Auburn and Georgia should raise the SEC back to the level we are all used to; Florida State could be a legit opponent to Clemson in the ACC; Penn State is going to battle with Michigan and Ohio State for the Big 10 title. But who are the actual dark horses for the 2017 college football season?

Making a Case for an 8-Team College Football Playoff
To begin, I must note an author disclaimer. In no way, shape, or form am I suggesting my personal beliefs about the system of the College Football Playoff. I am simply making a case for something different. With this in mind, let’s begin.

Adrian Peterson Is Taking His Time, but Will New England Wait for Him?
Adrian Peterson is still a free agent. At an initial asking price of reportedly $8 million per year, is anyone surprised? This comes after Peterson had the worst season of his illustrious and undoubtedly HOF career, but he is nowhere near the guy that once rushed for 2,000 yards and carried a Vikings franchise. Peterson is hitting the trail, shaking hands, and figuratively kissing — well, not babies in hopes of gaining a job that resembles a decent salary. But will he get something he deems respectable? I can’t say on the monetary end of things but at this point in his career considering the money he has earned and accolades he has accomplished, isn’t it time to chase a championship?

The Pack Needs a Back
Eddie Lacy is a Seahawk. After you get a kick out of the fact that Pete Carroll wants to keep Lacy “big,” your brain probably shifts its focus to the Green Bay Packers. With only three true halfbacks on their roster — two fullbacks and half running back half wide receiver Ty Montgomery — the Packers definitely need to address their own situation. With Lacy out of the equation, where will Green Bay turn to find someone to lead their backfield?

Three Reasons Why a Zeke Suspension Might Not Be a Bad Idea
As you may have heard by now, Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys is making headlines yet again. This time, it is for allegedly breaking someone’s nose in a bar fight at a Dallas area sports bar. This incident isn’t the first incident that the Cowboys’ young star has been involved in; he was spotted in a marijuana dispensary on the west coast during last season, involved a domestic situation prior to that, and most recently the guilty party in revealing a woman’s breast publicly during a parade.

Did LA Get Their Super Star?
Two foot surgeries, countless hamstring and ankle injuries and finally the Bills have had enough. While there have been countless reports of Sammy Watkins proclaiming he is now fully at 100% the Bills were never on board. Recently the Bills decided to decline Watkin’s team option for this next season and contract talks were stagnant. Finally the Bills shocked the world by trading the 2015 4th overall pick for CB E.J Gaines and a 2018 2nd round pick. The question is, what does this mean for the Rams?
