Green Bay's Young Guns a Potential Playoff Advantage Over the Cowboys
As the NFL season reaches its climax, the Green Bay Packers find themselves in a distinctive position, armed with a roster brimming with youthful exuberance. The upcoming wild card game against the Dallas Cowboys has sparked discussions about the potential impact of the Packers inexperienced roster. However, under the leadership of Head Coach Matt LaFleur, there is a palpable sense that the team is embracing the energy and fearlessness that their young players bring to the field.

On Thursday December 14, Mahopac hosted a five way meet at the high school. Two close matches versus Carmel and Clarkstown South for the Indians, the first one came down to the wire and Conner Lowrey was the man on the spot. “My heart was really pounding,” said the 124 pounder, and aptly, it was a thud that decided the outcome versus South.

In a stunning turn of events, Joe Flacco, the 38-year-old veteran quarterback, has emerged as a key player for the Cleveland Browns, orchestrating one of the most remarkable comebacks in NFL history. The AFC Wild Card Weekend promises to be nothing short of spectacular, with one of the most anticipated storylines being Tyreek Hill's return to Arrowhead Stadium. Traded by the Kansas City Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins in 2022, Hill had a chance to face his former team earlier in the year, but the game was held in Germany. NFL Week 18 Recap: What a Finish!
I do love the final week of the NFL season, especially in this 18-week format. Week 18 kicks off with a pair of games on Saturday, with the remaining 14 games taking place on Sunday. The reason for this is because that Week 18 used to be Wild Card Weekend, which had two Saturday games (one in the late afternoon and the other on primetime). With the permanent addition of the 18th week in 2021, the final week inherited the Saturday spots from what used to be Wild Card Weekend.

John Jay Pins Scarsdale 58-22
On Tuesday December 12, John Jay hosted Scarsdale, and first to take the mat for the Wolves was Emerson Flamm. He faced Luke Iasiello, and the Scarlett Knight muscled his way to a 10-1 lead. Then suddenly Flamm scored a reversal and two near falls to pull within one, and the subdued crowd switched gears. Iasiello did recover to a 17-12 victory, and the rosters playing out, there wasn’t nearly as much drama the rest of the way.

NFL Power Rankings Week 17
10. (9-7) Jaguars The Jaguars return to the top ten despite losing Trevor Lawrence. CJ Beathard hasn't done anything crazy, but he has got the job done. The Jaguars dominated the Panthers, and say what you want about the Panthers, but they have never been shut out...until the Jaguars came to town. Doug Pederson has a stingy defense and backup going into the playoffs. Where have we heard that before?
