Complete Civilians Guide to Military Watches
How do you think those in the military view navigation, coordinate tactical maneuvers, or even estimate ranges? Built to outlast the toughest events, wether it be dirt, grime, tough climates, and even water submersion, military watches are seriously one of the greatest tools for those in the military to use. Not only are they very helpful in the most difficult of times, but they're also stylish — which is always a plus.
George NekilanPublished 7 years ago in ServeIs Incarceration Becoming a New Form of Segregation?
Your name no longer matters. You no longer matter. Inmate 3846229 is who you are now, and the sad thing about it isn’t that you’re incarcerated; it’s that you became another statistic. Incarceration is becoming a popular trend in the criminal justice system. But what is the criminal justice system? It is a system of law enforcement that is directly involved in apprehending, prosecuting, defending, sentencing, and punishing those who are suspected or convicted of criminal offenses. By this definition, trials, treatment and punishments are equally distributed within ethnic groups, social classes, and economic standings. More often than not, this is not the case. It seems the poverty stricken minorities are the ones that suffer the most. In learning this, I have come to the conclusion that equal treatment through the current criminal justice system is becoming a struggle for minorities.

"I wonder what would happen if Trump actually did become President. Is that fucked up to think about?" Yes, past Katie, it was fucked up to think about. You were so damn sure of Hillary's presidency that you didn't even think about the consequences of your thought. Obviously, your thought caused Trump to win the presidency. You failed the nation.
Katie MarchbankPublished 7 years ago in The SwampSunday Night
It's late on a Sunday. Her blood flows from her dying body on to the kitchen floor like water from a faucet. He stands there frozen, unsure of what to do as his little sister bleeds from the knife wound in her chest. The knife falls as if in slow motion from his hands to the floor, creating a loud thud as it makes contact with the ground between his shaking legs and her limp arm.
Lauren WhitneyPublished 7 years ago in CriminalNice, but Not Nice
In this day and age, it's easy to get published. Maybe you have to go through Amazon and self-publish, but you can do it and keep control of your intellectual property. But sometimes, you can be stubborn like me, and insist on trying to get traditionally published. I tried to do this with a collection of political essays I wrote before, during, and after the 2016 election. It was a long shot, and I knew it. There were essays in there that I would have been uncomfortable showing my bartender. But I forged ahead with the thought of, why not? Well, an editor at the publishing house I submitted to told me why not. I was too nice!
Edward AndersonPublished 7 years ago in The SwampThe Strange Career of Jill Crow – Part 1
There was a time in America when women were neither the breadwinners nor a large part of the workforce. The cult of domesticity dictated that women stay at home and not work outside of the home. This durable philosophy of “true womanhood” further ordained that women should be more religious than men — pure of heart, mind, and body, as well as submissive to the men in their lives. We were not allowed to vote, own property or have credit of our own.
Tanya YoungPublished 7 years ago in The SwampWhat's the Most Patriotic Thing You Can Do this Year?
This year has been a wild ride. Not only has a walking prank been elected into leadership of one of the most powerful countries in the world, we've seen an upsurge of nationalistic bullshit from fascists the world over. Canadians are just figuring out that maybe their country isn't as perfect as they like to believe. Britain has turned into a bigger circus than usual.
