Going Viral vs Adding Value
For a while now I've wanted to write a blog post on the difference between going viral and adding value. I recently had a discussion with an individual in my company’s upper management involving this subject. My statement to him went something like this:

Spirit Made Physical
The eyes weren’t perfect so he smoothed them away. The javelin, a spear aimed at the fearful remained the only thing that seemed right. It stood there frozen in the thrower’s hand like a shaft of liberty. The body of the man neared perfection. Each muscle and tendon told a tale of exercising, manipulating the physical form all through the power of the mind. Every line meant something. The thighs meant lower body strength that would sustain the thrower in his moment of truth. The onyx pestered him. It bothered him. He wanted to slice at the eyes, blinding the sculpture. This was May of 1928 in Wilmington, Delaware, and the heat began to drive the sculptor to even greater heights. Despite the intense hotness, he worked until the project was up to his standards. In his mind, he viewed any signs of lethargy as giving in, giving up too quickly. His black skin glistened with each and every touch of the electric bulbs in his studio.

My Year on Vocal.Media
I can't believe that I started writing on Vocal.Media a full year ago. Throughout the year I've written 148 articles. They're mostly reviews for movies and small personal opinion pieces. Averaging it out that's almost an article every two and a half days. I didn't even think I would be able to produce articles that fast.

Chasing Happy
It's Monday. I've gone for a walk, had a smoothie for breakfast, and I settle into my home office to make my list for my work day. Sounds good and balanced, looks productive, but one simple task tumbles into another, and one on top of that, and then circled back, oh and remembering to not forget—and I seem to 'and' my day away.
