That's No Dog Toy. Top Story - December 2024.
I was dragged much longer than I’d like to admit, so I wont. What I will admit is that in those moments of shame, I began to believe that failure was possible. And that maybe I had been wrong about Arly all along. She didn’t want to be saved. She wanted to be free. I was wrong in thinking they meant the same thing.

Santa Wears Italian Leather. Top Story - December 2024.
Christmas Eve, Manhattan NY, 1989 I believed myself a romantic as my brain twinged with the rumblings of a delightful buzz. Mother had forced us into crisp blazers, quaffed our hair, and hurried us to a candlelight sermon at the Presbyterian church on Madison Ave. I was in trouble. Alec and I felt riotous after lunch in midtown. He and I pillaged the kitchen for airplane bottles and swigs of cooking sherry we stuffed in our pockets before nudging each other out the door and into stiff-backed church pews.

"I don't know" - Is that so hard to say?. Top Story - December 2024.
Conversations. Why do we engage in them? I talk to myself a lot. Sometimes I talk to my cat or my dolls or the walls. I'm alone a lot. Why do I feel the need to vocalize? Why do I have to write this if I just spent a few hours conversing with the walls? Why am I so "gabby"?

Book Review: "The Sun Down Motel" by Simone St. James . Top Story - December 2024.
I miss reading some dark books and the reason I'm not doing it that much is mainly because I haven't been feeling there emotionally though I still miss them. I have decided to get back into them, just not obsessively because my emotional state can't take that many punches at the moment. As you know, I've been working my way through some novels such as this one, entitled The Sun Down Motel and another called Levitation for Beginners so it's fine like this for now (I've got some more on the way soon). But for now, until I have another nonfiction binge, I think this is what we're stuck with and I am sure we are both going to enjoy it...a lot.

2024: The Year of Setbacks, Sadness and Hope. Top Story - December 2024.
There are so many things I want to say. So many things I want to express. I could write this a thousand times in a thousand ways and still not fully get my point across. So, rather than overthink it, I’ll just write it.

Ginge. Top Story - December 2024. Content Warning.
In the heart of a dark forest, nestled within a gingerbread house that exuded an irresistible aroma, resided the Gingerbread Man known as Ginge. Created by the infamous baker Jakof Gustofoson, Ginge was a wicked cookie who enjoyed luring unwary victims to his home, where he subjected them to a slow, agonizing torture before he feasted upon them. The dark molasses used to make him was a reflection Ginge’s shriveled soul.

Deny, Defend, Depose...and Die?. Top Story - December 2024.
I am going to make the assumption that you have been following current events in the United States over the last week. I am going to imagine that you have some very strong opinions about what happened both on the streets of New York...and online. And I am going to assume that you will hear me out and accept my particular take on this (no trigger warnings necessary or provided).
