The Possibility of a Self-Implosion of the Immigrant Chaos in the US
There is a possibility that the chaos caused by immigrants in the United States could self-impplode. The SAVE Act and its implications are discussed. ( The SAVE Act, a proposed law that mandates only U.S. citizens can vote in federal elections, has generated considerable debate and controversy.)

What is Maga Mike the Johnson Protecting?
Do you ever feel like you can live for a long long time without hearing about another politician or preacher, or brother-in-law, or anyone at all, saying one thing while they are simultaneously doing something else? I’m going to point at our intrepid Speaker of the House for some of the most ignorant behavior, as the kind explanation or some of the most blatant hypocrisy that ever there was as the let’s-call-it-like-it-is explanation.

Is the Naked Emperor Causing a Train Wreck in the GOP?
I don’t understand the hullabaloo over the possibility of another Presidency by the one-who-may-not-be-named. He may be nicknamed, however. My favorite nickname so far is Don Poorelone. He's the poorest little rich boy I’ve ever seen. On the surface, he’s not anything to write home to Mom about. But with the proper marketing, that little snobby rich boy has achieved international notoriety because of his manipulation of the New York press. I get that the Murdock organization has to pump up profits. They have some pretty serious bills to pay and money doesn’t grow on trees. It might grow on titillating quasi-gossip, though. When the Don first appeared in Gotham he became a near instant media celebrity appearing with famous sports figures and anyone else he could use to promote himself.

FBI Charges Biden After Finding the 2020 Election in His Corvette Stingray’s Frunk
I think the most offensive part of the pall that wafts around He-Who-May-Not-Be-Named is the astounding arrogance with which ignorance is displayed. That one trait seems to be a necessary ingredient in all of the issues on the MAGA agenda. Belief takes precedence over reality. It’s as though if something is believed it is more real than something that is actually real. The prime example is the belief that the 2020 election was stolen and stashed in the trunk of Dark Brandon’s Stingray along with umpity-thousand classified documents. Anyone is free to believe what they wish concerning those votes and those documents. Mix and match, no rules required for this one. But that cannot be an accurate picture of reality no matter what set of beliefs is employed. Everyone knows that the trunk of a Stingray doesn’t have that much room. Cripes, it barely has enough room for groceries even when you include the frunk.

Why Isn’t the Far Right Free to Accept Yes?
Reality is something to be dealt with. I know. Astounding, huh? Isn’t that just plain old common sense? I had always heard that reality happens in life and we’re all carried along in the direction the flow reality follows. We can adjust our perceptions to accommodate abrupt changes of direction which reality throws our way. However, that change of direction seems to be out of reach of a fair percentage of the American public. That segment of the population seems to be incapable of ever taking on new ideas or adjusting current ideas to better fit the reality we find ourselves in.

Mediocrity: The Destructive Indulgence of the GOP
I have an idea with two unrelated sides that is bugging me these days. One side is the national infatuation with mediocrity and the other is the growing void which is brought about through deliberately indulging in disagreement. It appears to me that the two concepts are in symbiotic orbit around each other.

We Salute You EPD 🖕🏻
🖕🏻 Ephrata Police Department: The Salute You Earned Let’s talk about the Ephrata Police Department — a squad that manages to be fashionably late, perpetually ineffective, and laughably out of touch, all at the price tag of over $23,000 a day. Many residents are asking what they actually get for the annual Ephrata police budget of over $8.5 million. Let’s break it down.
