My Latest Thoughts About President Biden
I’ve stated many times in previous stories that I wasn’t going to talk about the Covid-19 pandemic anymore, but since health experts, the government, and most governors continues to milk this whole crisis, I have many strong opinions about the 46th president of the United States. I swear this would be the final time I ever talk about this. Many of us, me included, have since moved on from the pandemic. We have been cooped up at home and isolated for over a year and a half. I’ve been a Democrat for years, but some of the things that President Biden have said and done makes me not like him. The following below are the reasons why me and the majority of the country have lost confidence in him.

Why Have We Let The Media Cover For Biden For So Long?
Since Biden entered office this year he has been amazing, right? At least that is how the media largely portrays it. Do not get me wrong, Biden has done some good things since getting in office, such as the Covid relief bill, however, we cannot allow ourselves to be blinded to everything else going on.

On 18th December 1915 the President of the United States, Woodrow Wilson, married Edith Bolling Galt. It was a second marriage for both of them – President Wilson had been widowed in August 1914, suffering severe depression as a result, and Edith had lost her first husband in 1908. She was 43 years old when she married the President, who was a few days short of his 59th birthday.

The administration of Donald Trump started around early afternoon EST (17:00 UTC) on January 20, 2017, when Donald Trump was introduced as the 45th leader of the United States, and finished on January 20, 2021. Trump, a Republican initially from New York City, took office following his unexpected Electoral College triumph over Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the 2016 official political race, in which he didn't win a majority of the mainstream vote. Trump offered numerous bogus or misdirecting expressions during his mission and administration. His administration finished after his loss in the 2020 official political race by Democrat Joe Biden.
2020: An Election with history made
The 2020 election started in 2019 with the democrats holding primaries to determine which candidate would go up against President Donald Trump. Among the candidates were senators Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. To Donald Trump, Joe Biden, another candidate running seemed to be “the biggest threat” to his campaign and re-election bid. The primaries were still going on, and there was still a chance Trump might go up against a different candidate in the general election instead. On July 25 2019, Trump called the president of Ukraine the call started as a typical phone call between 2 world leaders but quickly made a drastic change from that. Earlier that year in Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky defeated the incumbent to become president of Ukraine. Trump started the phone call congratulating him on that, nothing wrong with that now right? Well you’d be right if you said there isn't anything wrong with saying that, but minutes later the phone call quickly made a turn with a single line from Trump: “I would like you to do us a favor though”, what Trump said next according to a rough transcript released from the white house vividly described what would be an impeachable offense. In Trump’s mind Joe Biden would be his likely opponent in the 2020 general election, and “biggest threat”. So, Trump decided to ask Ukraine for dirt on his son Hunter Biden and according to the democratic controlled house along with white house officials, threatened to hold military aid until he got what he wanted.
OurBob 775Published 3 years ago in The SwampWhy 'Sleepy Joe Biden' Is The Most Radical President Of Modern Times
Although British by birth, I have been a student of American politics, my entire life. And I was profoundly disappointed that my preferred candidate, Senator Bernie Sanders was swatted in the democratic primaries like he didn't exist by politician that I didn't have the greatest respect for - Joseph Biden. In Britain, Biden, up until then, was best known for his speech plagiarizing a British politician's words, during his failed presidential bid in 1988.
Adebayo AdeniranPublished 3 years ago in The SwampAn Open Letter To Our New President
First off let me say congratulations on becoming the president during such a crucial time in the United States history. One could argue that this was one of the most controversial elections that we have ever experienced. You still managed to win through all the corruption, lies and deceit. Now that you have been in office for a little over a month, hopefully you have had time to settle in. I know people are expecting you to work A miracle after walking into a disaster from the previous administration. This letter is simply one to help you understand that the communities are hurting. All of this bickering back-and-forth between senators and governors Who have never had to live in inhumane situations is disheartening. There won’t be a change until these Senators and governors realize that they have The livelihoods of all Americans in their hands. Maybe if their salaries were cut drastically like many of ours were cut due to Covid we could get some action faster. I have watched these governors and senators go on vacation while the American people are left hanging waiting for Mere chump change. I don’t understand what there is to debate about when you are supposed to be here to help the American people. We pay our taxes every year, and even pay back taxes when we are “ overpaid.” We are still driving on roads with big potholes, our children are still at home attempting to learn virtually and yet you all are debating about helping the American people. The money that we do make is put right back into the community because it’s being used to pay down high bills, buy groceries, and all around catch up from the hole that many Americans have gone into since this pandemic began. Now for someone who paid attention to basic high school economics, I understand that it takes more than you proposing help for the American people for the bill to pass. However there doesn’t seem like there’s much urgency to really help our people. How are other countries able to help their people but America, The “greatest country known”, is the one who struggles to help their people the most? Our parents are now receiving dates that their children are going back to school but how is that possible when classroom sizes need to be decreased significantly and this has been a complaint of teachers since I was in school over 20 years ago? Are we going to place more of the responsibilities on the school system to make this happen while the teachers are still drastically underpaid for the work they do? What is your actual plan to make this happen and keep our children safe? How can anyone speak on behalf of the public school system that isn’t currently in the public school system? If we can’t find the money to make these things happen, it is time to start reevaluating where our money is spent. Receiving word that the governors and senators that we nominate are receiving money to purchase furniture that equates to more than what some Americans make in a year is absolutely absurd. These laws were written years ago when we were not in such a devastating time. It’s time for drastic action and you as the president must make that happen. I understand that you have only been there a month so I know we have to give it time. I have been in a situation where I’ve had to fix a site that I inherited after a terrible supervisor ruined it, so we understand that you can’t fix everything overnight. However we are looking to see some drastic changes in the financial gaps between the wealthy and the poor. We don’t need the stimulus checks to go buy hair, nails, jewelry, fancy cars and big houses, we need the stimulus check to pay bills and to get back into the positive. Have you ever had to experience bill collectors calling threatening to repossess a car, foreclose on a house, or shut off your bills? I would say probably not. Have you ever had to hear your kids say “I’m hungry” and really not have anything to give them? I would say probably not. However many Americans are in that same boat as I write this letter. This isn’t a Power struggle or a contest to see who was the better president, this is the time where you are making decisions that can literally impact our health, actually impact our life in general. So my question to you is what are you going to do as president to make a real change? We as the voters fought through literal discrimination, aggression, intimidation, and out right disrespect from the other party’s supporters to make sure that we made our vote count. What are you going to do, how are you going to fight to show us it was worth it?

In William Edward Burghardt Du Bois' magnum opus, the souls of Blackfolk, the preeminent African American scholar of the 20th century, writes of a double consciousness, the sense of always looking at one's self through the eyes of others, of measuring one's soul by the tape of the world that looks on in amused contempt and pity.

There are writers on both sides of the political spectrum that could very finely articulate why Joe Biden feels like a consolation prize who will likely be nothing more than a stop gap president of otherwise very little consequence.
