Fix Congress? No, Demolish It!
» KEY POINTS Congress cannot represent the will of the people because the Constitution is irreparably flawed. Only by Amending the Constitution can we better the Legislative Branch for everyone. The House of Representatives needs to be changed from a “winner takes all” system using voting districts to one with a proportional mix for all the varied political views in America. While the Senate needs to remain a State check on Federal power, that does not mean each State should have equal power no matter its size and/or population.
Can We Do Anything About Our Eroding Freedoms?
Freedom has been won and lost a million times over thousands of years. Small groups and large groups have attempted to define and implement freedom. Everyone you ask will assure you they can tell you what freedom is. Unfortunately, as with all things, every person has a different opinion, making a "one size fits all" definition of freedom nearly impossible. There is a plethora of components that people agree on, but no two people will ever agree on every aspect.

The Great Betrayal
It was a crushing day on so many levels. It started with great expectations of a hope-filled future and ended with a devastating slap in the face. The worst of it was realizing how naïve I really had been. I felt so conned and deceived. I pride myself on being discerning, so it was a devastating revelation.
Bonita L PetersonPublished 2 years ago in The SwampHow to Stop Voter Suppression... Permanently
» KEY POINTS In order to maintain power, a certain Political Party has attempted to restrict access to the ballot box because the fewer people who vote, the better they do. These efforts have happened mostly in the State legislatures that they control, but there are efforts to move to a national level. The only way to stop this and permanently bolster voter access is with a set of Constitution Amendments. Beyond just making it more convenient to cast a ballot and eliminate various methods of suppression, the people of the United States need an actual right to vote that they sorely lack today—and a compulsion to do so to go along with that right.
I’ve Never Been Raided By the FBI, But Donald Trump Has
You know what’s funny about dishonest, shitty human beings? They tend to have brushes with the law. Numerous ones dating back some 50 years. They have had many court cases and legal decisions that have been leveled against them. They’re almost always in the news for not-so-good reasons. One of my least favorite human beings (if you can call him that) of them all had his home in Mar-a-Lago raided today by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Jason ProvencioPublished 2 years ago in The SwampHypocrisies of The Party View
In a world of designated echo chambers, that decide your views based on left or right, sometimes an issue comes along that shows how flawed their thinking is. I used to try to make sense of what I would see in videos or on social media from these types, but I realized that there’s no point in trying to make sense of the senseless. The non-stop finger-pointing and blaming from both sides does amazing things for the leaders of the party. Knowing that at any moment, they can release a story that will spark debate, and the same ones on the same team will have the same views. Every once in a while a heated topic comes up and shows in reality their views hold no weight, and they don’t believe in what they’re saying.
Kevin VianiPublished 2 years ago in The SwampBoris: Facing Vote of No Confidence.
Boris has finally pushed enough of his MPs to write 54 letters of no confidence. 54 letters are what is required to launch a potential vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister. Graham Brady Chairperson of the infamous 1922 Committee has indicated such a threshold has been reached. Mr. Brady also announced that he had told the Prime Minister on Sunday. Certainly, at Royal Jubilee events Boris looked forlorn worrying about his predicament.
