The end of South African apartheid was a resounding human rights victory heard around the world. It was from the years 1948 to 1994 South Africa was under rule of systematic racial oppression that came to be known as apartheid. Twenty-three years after apartheid's abrogation, four major consequences can be noticed in the following areas: education, the economy, racism, and government. Peter RosePublished 6 years ago in The SwampInvasion of the Gays
For thousands of years, The Heterosexuals have roamed the earth, living together in harmony, but the peace quickly came to an end when the 21st century rolled around. A never-before-seen species began to sprout like weeds among them; The Homosexuals, more commonly known as "The Gays." Although both sides swim in the same pool of genetic makeup—Homo Sapiens—The Gays are still an obvious danger to the rest of mankind.
Jaime StampPublished 6 years ago in The SwampWhy I Want to Run for Office
I want to make a difference in the world. First I’m going to get onto the Work2Future board in San Jose, which meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month. I can get to this meeting, first thing. Second, I have to run for District 10, or my home district. I want to get more involved with District 10. This is the same reason I want to run for office in the California State Senate. I went to see the State Senate both in 8th grade for a class trip to Sacramento, and in junior college with student government. I can start off by becoming a City Commissioner appointed for three years. I can also become a District 10 volunteer. There is even a way to become a city volunteer.
Iria Vasquez-PaezPublished 6 years ago in The SwampShould Oprah Run for President?
Donald Trump is probably seething right now. Republican leaders are scrambling this morning. Why? Because last night Oprah Winfrey gave, what many are considering, her first Presidential stump speech. Will the beloved icon run for the nation's highest office? The better question is, should she run for President?
Edward AndersonPublished 6 years ago in The SwampYes, Obama Spied On Trump's Campaign. No, Trump Didn't Collude With Russia.
For those of you who have already forgotten, it is a known fact that the Trump campaign was being monitored through the NSA surveillance program since mid-2016. We know this because the Obama Administration filed for at least two separate FISA warrants in order to unmask the anonymity and focus on the Trump team. The first warrant request was denied. Making it one of <20 requests to have been denied (out of thousands) since the creation of the department in 1976.
Mike WaywardPublished 6 years ago in The SwampDecoded
Birth happened. That's all I can say about it reliably. I know nothing else. It wasn’t until almost 10 minutes later that I realized that I wasn't in a hospital. It was either the pain or the joy. I hope it was the joy. It was the pain. I was told once that nothing hurts more than a paper cut. If I could invite the person who shared that insight with me to give birth to a four-pound child surrounded by the comfort of a newly-vacated first-class lounger on a transatlantic redeye, without the benefit of either doctor or medication, I would do so. I shall leave it at that, however.
Our Parents Were Better Than Us at Protesting
The atmosphere was tense. It was May 6, 1970, as the fresh spring dew from the Mitchell Hall lawn began to soak through the shoes of the roughly 3000 protesters gathered on UWM's campus that day. They barely spoke, they didn't need to, the time for their voices to be heard would come later; for the time being their goal is simple—disrupt administrative activities in Mitchell Hall and draw police attention to create an opportunity for a smaller group of about 300 students to occupy and shut down the library and the power plant.
The Trump Fiasco Is All Richard Nixon's Fault
We really all should have seen the Trump Presidency coming. It has always been there, just underneath the surface of our lives, or really right in front of our faces. For those of us who grew up in the '70s and '80s, you could here it at parties whenever the subject of Watergate came up. There was always that push by many to argue that "President Nixon didn't do anything wrong that any other President didn't do as well. He just got caught." I must have heard that a thousand times. The problem is that he DID do something terribly wrong that no other President had ever done. He fired Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox in what has become known as "The Saturday Night Massacre" and tried to take over the F.B.I. in what would have become the end of our Republic as we knew it. Sound eerily familiar?
Scott BowenPublished 6 years ago in The SwampCanada Needs to Be Redpilled in 2018
2017 was an abomination of a year. Did you know the “most used word” of 2017 was “fake news?” Let me tell you, there is no fake news here. It was one hell of a year of the US legacy media spreading fake news, biased-liberal propaganda or just simply not reporting anything newsworthy. Yes, there was a lot of winning since Trump took office. The results show it throughout his first year. It pissed off the masses of people and the elites. Good! I am a fan of Trump, I like what he is doing, gets to the point and is being reasonable for the most part. However, I remain sceptical and cynical of anyone in that high status of power, especially the US President, always called “The Leader of the Free World.” I say that as an observing individual watching this phenomenon happen like I’m watching a movie to be critiqued afterwards. Last year, we witnessed the array of stupidity being memed and shared on social media, crumbling the sanity of our Western Society. I witnessed people getting redpilled last year and earlier on since the US election of 2016. I hope that this year more people will wake the fuck up and see the truth with how the gov’t is fucking everything up. The term “Redpill” means a lot of things to different people; I mean it as being awakened, enlightened, and seeing the truth. But, everything you will see can’t be unseen. You can’t go back to living in ignorance. You can try, I’d like to see you try, and I bet you will fail. So will I if I attempted to go back. America seems to have finally woken up.
