Is someone annoying you? Practical tips and solutions

Get rid of the irritation once and for all!

By JuliePublished 2 years ago 3 min read

Many of us are annoyed by something, and there are those who are annoyed from scratch - the weather is bad, someone did not call them on time, then another person looked at him the wrong way, and this continues because of infinity.

For example, I was very annoyed because of the children in the sea or on the playground from their screams. Because I had a negative attitude towards my children, they say, little forever screaming little people) But realizing that I was like that, and there were no adults - there were bald, fat, sick children, I became more or less calm. And now they don't annoy me at all. That is, the main reason lies in our attitude to the object of irritation. It is very important to learn to look at things without prejudice and condemnation. There is a reason for everything, and as a rule, each of our feelings causes a certain action, first of all, in our body, in our emotions.

I really love this parable, which clearly shows who carries what in himself, he will definitely find it. That is, a person will never hide from himself and our world is a projection of our thoughts.

The sage and the disciple were sitting at the gates of their city. A traveler approached the city and asked

"What kind of people live in this city?"

"And who lives where you came from?" The sage asked.

"Oh, scoundrels and thieves, vicious and depraved. However, that's why I was happy to leave there."

"It's the same here," the sage replied.

After a while, another traveler came up and also asked what kind of people were in this city.

"And who lives where you came from?" The sage asked.

"Wonderful people, kind and sympathetic. I have a lot of friends left there, and it wasn't easy for me to part with them," the traveler replied.

"Here you will find the same," said the sage.

"Why did you tell one that scoundrels live here, and the other that good people live here?" The disciple asked the sage.

"There are good people and bad people everywhere," the sage answered him. — "It's just that everyone finds only what they know how to look for."

Mini techniques for working with irritation

Exercise 1

Belly breathing. We inhale through the nose at the count of 1-2-3-4 and inflate the stomach on the inhale, imagining that the air fills the entire abdominal space. We exhale through the nose at the count of 1-2-3-4, imagining that the air from the abdomen slowly exits through the nostrils. We draw in the stomach. This exercise should be repeated 12 times.

Exercise 2

Imagine that you are standing under a waterfall. Water flows through your body and penetrates into your body, washes all your organs and it's not just water – it's streams of unconditional love pouring from the universe to the Earth. We do belly breathing. But now we breathe unconditional love.

Exercise 3

If the irritation is very strong, imagine that we are transported to a beautiful island in the Pacific Ocean. There is no one on the island except you. You're going around the island. You study it. Find a place convenient for you. And look at the ocean from this place. And you realize that there is a huge distance between you and the situation that annoys you. You imagine that the air above the island is filled with peace and serenity. And this peace and serenity envelops you like a weightless veil, allowing you to restore inner balance. Now we breathe peace and serenity.

I hope that these simple exercises will help you maintain inner harmony and not give in to irritation.

Have a good practice!
