Anxiety or Panic Attacks Symptoms

Is this familiar to you?

How do you know yours are anxiety or panic attacks symptoms or a sign of something else? I hope this will help you.

Anxiety and panic attacks symptoms are very similar, but, as different hormones are involved, the symptoms are slightly different. The main difference between anxiety and panic attack symptoms are in the severity and duration of the symptoms.

If you take sound as an analogy, anxiety is like a pretty continuous disturbing hum that you hear. It can easily affect your sleep, it can drive you to distraction, and it is very unpleasant. A panic attack is like suddenly being transported right next to a man digging up the road with a very noisy jackhammer without any ear protection, feeling the earth shake underneath you with the loud noise, and then when you think you just cannot take any more and are going mad, he starts to ease up on the roadworks, and you eventually get transported back where you came from.

Most of us experience some worry about the odd bill, a relationship going awry, or a job. But we do not worry for most of our waking hours. That would be more like anxiety. Similarly, most of us would panic if, for example, we get told out of the blue that we lost a job or a loved one is in intensive care, but people do not get into a state of panic whilst visiting a shop, for example. That is more like a panic attack.

Symptoms of anxiety include worry that takes over your life, lack of concentration, chest pain that is not due to heart issues, inability to take a full breath that is not due merely to asthma, pain in your tummy that is not explained away by what and when you eat, muscular tension such as in the legs, arms, neck, shoulders, back, or regular stress headaches, a racing heart, feeling sick, Difficulty with concentration, due to worry about the future going wrong, or what went wrong in the past, and tasks that seem easy become hard, due to lack of concentration. Muscular symptoms, such as headaches, backaches, neck tension, shoulder pain, chest pain, sweating for no good reason, feeling unreal or kind of detached from your body, and racing negative thoughts.

Panic attack - Panic involves the fight or flight hormone adrenaline – perceived threats – fast, dramatic fear response. Bear example.

Panic attacks involve sudden physical symptoms and feelings of terror. Panic attacks can happen at any time, including waking sufferers up from sleep. All of the above anxiety symptoms can be felt in a panic attack, but they are felt more acutely and last typically about 10 minutes, although a panic attack could go on for longer; I know all too well from previous experience! Instead of the anxiety worry, for example, you get panic attack terror. In addition, you can experience trembling, shaking, feelings of choking or being unable to breathe, such a high heart rate you feel like you are having a heart attack, dizziness, feeling faint, and feeling physical numbness.

If these are the symptoms that you get, there are two routes that I recommend. The first is to visit your doctor or physician and see if they feel you need medication until you can recover. The second, and long-lasting solution, is to seek an Energy healing modality that can address both the emotional and physical symptoms at once for you. The most popular Energy modalities that I know of are EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), otherwise known as Tapping, Reiki healing, and Chakra balancing. All can be either had in sessions or by learning self-help. Both sessions and courses of Energy modalities are available easily online and in-person, so you can find someone with the right skills and experience that you feel comfortable with.

I find EFT, Tapping, or otherwise known as Emotional Freedom Techniques, an excellent aid for releasing anxiety and panic attacks symptoms. Not only does EFT work on the symptoms, but it can also be used to release the root causes of the anxiety and panic attacks. You can learn everything you need to know from beginner to relief, with my online course “Banish Anxiety and Panic Attacks”, at https://www.udemy.com/course/anxiety-and-panic-attack-eft-tapping-course/?referralCode=CBA86327E9BC31621678 – I have included a generic EFT tapping for stress in this article, so you can see for yourself what EFT is and get an idea of whether you would like to know more.
