How I Lost 20 lbs with Cannabis
About four years ago, I was having a hard time trying to lose weight. The funny part of this story was the fact that I use to be a fitness coach for two years but due to stress from that workplace, I managed to gain 20 pounds. It is true that stress can either help you lose weight or gain it and with my luck, I gained. The stress came from my boss. She wasn’t a nice person and would make fun of our clients that were trying to lose weight. I took it upon myself to make our clients feel like they belong but I had to leave because that place was making my life harder and I didn’t want to continue to gain weight.
Nadia TapiaPublished 7 years ago in PotentHow To Forget the Fog of War
“How many wars is the US really fighting?” blares the headline of a 2015 article. The answer, according to the author, Nick Turse, is that US Special Operations forces have already deployed to 135 nations, carrying out roles as advisors, performing secret operations, or actively engaged as the tip of the spear in war. Some of these operations have taken place in hot spots of the world like Afghanistan and Iraq. The seemingly imminent destruction of ISIS in Mosul bears testimony to the bravery and skills of all the soldiers who have taken up arms. Their victories will no doubt be cause for much relief, celebration, and national accolades for those that went above and beyond the call of duty; however, long after the fanfare and the last tweets have disappeared into the ether, some families will welcome soldiers with "invisible wounds" home. They will bear permanent mental scars of war.

In High Places: [07/03/2017] I’ll never forget the “true” day I popped my glorious green cherry. One good toke followed by what seemed to be the harshest and longest cough of my life was all it took.
In High PlacesPublished 7 years ago in PotentMarijuana & Morphine... My Life in a Pill Bottle
When I was just 8 years old, growing up in upstate NY, I started smoking cigarettes and pot. All through High School, and in '79, I joined the Army, which, at the time was full of pot smokers, and life in the 82d Airborne was the "high life"! After discharge, I spent 30 years in restaurants and assorted jobs... construction, landscaping, stucco, convenience store, etc. I've always been a multi-tasker, and chronic overworker; sometimes pulling shifts in three different jobs in a 24 hour period. And all through the years, I was a drummer, RUSH-style, Neil Peart, my drum-god! During all the time in the Airborne, I suffered a melee of injuries to my body, including... 4 major concussions, 3 lesser concussions, many cases of whiplash to the neck, dislocations, crushed bones, and a gamut on injurious happenings to my body. Between the late 80s and the turn of the millennia, I smoked intermittently. Cigarettes, every day, up to two and a half packs a day, and I smoked weed as I ran across friends who smoked, but I was always the lightweight in the party. I got high easily, and I've always enjoyed marijuana. Fast-forward to 10 years ago.

To be perfectly honest, I’ve smoked marijuana since July 31st of 1995. We sat on the edge of the escarpment, looking over the downtown of my city, and passed a joint back and forth. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and we were celebrating in our own way. We were too young to drink legally, and my friend’s sister had gotten her the joint as a gift. It was my first experience and it was so positive, so affirming, that I have smoked regularly ever since. It helped my moods – I suffer from depression and severe anxiety – stimulated my appetite, and gave me the concentration to study at school. Even then, I was using medicinally. I just didn’t know it.

Gateway drug or non-addictive medical panacea? The pot debate has continued to stoke the passions of recreational and medicinal users and their opponents for millennia. While the fate of marijuana legalization and decriminalization hang in the balance, its medical use has been an accepted fact for centuries. Based on 2015 estimates, 22.2 million Americans listed themselves as current marijuana users – reflecting an increase in use over more than a decade [1]. So why are we so fascinated with the dried form of the plant genus, Cannabis?

3 Ways Cannabis Brings You Closer to Your Partner
Your significant other and you have been through a lot. Turn up Solange's "Borderline (An Ode to Self-Care)," and it's not hard to remember why it's so important to have quality relaxing and healing time with your boo. With late capitalism, it can feel impossible to wind down and forget the pressure to keep up with the Jones'. You try to keep up with your many responsibilities and balance home, work, and love life. There's always so much to do and hardly the time to do it.

CBD or Cannabidiol is made from high-CBD, low-THC hemp; it's unlike medical marijuana products, which usually have a high concentration of psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. Although CBD may not make you "trippy," it's beneficial for the human body in other ways and is drastically more helpful than many of today's harsh, addiction fueling over the counter pills. A huge reason why CBD bonds so well with the body is because our bodies are already equipped with cannabis receptors.

I remember the first time I got drug tested at work. It was a "surprise" that was given to us with 24 hours advance notice, and I was terrified. This was a job I couldn't lose.

The heroin epidemic in America has reached devastating proportions. The New York Timesrecently reported that drug deaths are rising faster than ever before. The story claimed that in 2016, between 59,000 and 65,000 people died as a result of a heroin overdose. (Experts are currently unsure of the full total of true overdoses due to the time it takes for an overdose to be officially declared via toxicology tests.)

As a soon-to-be-retired adult performer, I owe a lot of my pleasurable life to my professional sexual adventures. It's safe to say I've had more than my fair share of wild days and nights and the privilege to do so in a safe, controlled, and impeccably clean environment. I'm thankful to have led a blessed sensual life thus far. One of the perks of this blessed life is that I've tried more types of lube than the folks who shop at drug stores and grocery stores for their KY Jelly fix.
